Dress budget

2»

Re: Dress budget

  • I have a really tight dress budget :(   I need the dress, alterations, veil, shoes, and accessories to all come in under $1,000.   And even that is a stretch.

I'll be hitting up sample sales and pre-owned websites for sure! :P  I'm worried it will be harder though because I am very short and want a lace dress.  Which means I'd have to find a sample or a pre-worn dress that was cut shorter hollow-to-hem by the original purchaser.

    Wish me luck! haha

  • Jenn, you should go try on some dresses in the $1200 or less price range, find what you like, then try to find it on one of the pre owned sites. Most of them ask 50% or less than what they paid. Etsy for accessories and go local for a seamstress. Good luck!

  • I figured since I am not doing top notch food for my guests and we are in a barn lol I could not justify an expensive wedding dress. I spent 600 on the dress and alterations might be about 200 since my dress is already perfect length, just need a bustle and cups sewn in.
