June Wedding Colors

Hi all!

We're getting married in June at a wonderful Tudor Castle (we couldn't be happier!). However, I'm getting confused about wedding colors. We really love the combination of ivory, champagne, gold, & plum with plum being the accent color. I'm a little concerned these will feel "too heavy" for June but I do feel they fit the formality of our venue. What do you think?? Is there a combination I'm just not thinking of? I'm open to any and all suggestions!

Your colors sound lovely, especially for your venue!! I wouldn't worry about them being too heavy since you're using plum as the accent color. I think it's not so much the colors as it is how you use them that will influence the formality factor- think lace versus polka dots- even if they were the same color, they give off two totally different vibes.

The colors sound great!  Who cares what colors "fit" certain months. If it's what you want, then do it It will look lovely!

I think those colors sound great! Like emilyb said, it's not so much the exact colors but how you use them that could make it heavy. If the BM have light, flowy dresses in a dark color it won't seem as heavy as if they had super, for lack of a better description, "heavy" thick dresses!
I know a lot of people tend to think you have to use bright colors in the summer (my Mom included! - I am doing navy and she thinks it is waaaaay too dark for summer!) but ultimately it is your choice!

I don't think they would be too heavy. It all depends on how you use the colors... a lot of times less can be more if you feel the colors are very strong. Besides, it's your wedding so you should use the colors you like!

Thank you all SO, SO much! I appericate all the advice-and do agree! With so many choices, it's easy to get confused and second guess yourself I love the colors too so I think that's what we'll go wtih!
