FI and I decided to change our venue (again), because I am terrified to spend over $5000 just for the reception. My ex keeps threatening to quit paying child support by quitting his job and getting a much lower paying job. Since I have a part part time job and 5 kids, we decided to lower our budget instead of draining both of our savings. I have a friend who has a friend who into catering, so I am waiting to get a quote. I am totally stressing out since we are 4 1/2 months out. FI was wonderful in cutting his guest list almost into half. The problem is that we are back to having the reception at our church with a no dancing policy. But... I would rather get rid of the dancing and take the kids on a family vacation after FI and I get back from our honeymoon. I just hope it's not boring and doesn't drag.
