Hi there,
We are looking for someone that will be present with us throughout our wedding day to capture the special moments of our wedding. Our plan is to get married in Philly in August 2014. We would love a photographer that can tell the story of the day and document the laughs, tears, and special details rather than focusing on a ton of forced poses. It feels very important to us to find an individual, an artist that will embrace the various colors, textures, and senses of the day.
Our day will include a picnic and social activity, followed by an intimate dinner with our closest friends and family, and a nontraditional ceremony/light reception/dancing to follow with the rest of our guests. We would love to find a photographer to capture our dinner and ceremony, and ideally, the whole day.
We have a ton of ideas right now in terms of stylistic inspiration. It's a bit all over the place, which is very natural to my own approach to the creative process. Like I mentioned previously, we hope to have something quirky, fun, bright, friendly. I'm envisioning a mix of textures, bright colors with a mix of black and white patterns, and lots of gold accents (I have many thoughts of a non-white dress, a sequined gold dress, maybe a bright emerald green evening gown?). I love warm lighting with candles and stringed lights. It will be eclectic and mismatched.
Our plan is to make this wedding as budget-friendly as possible. We have a budget in mind, but also recognize the importance of hosting a fun party to not only celebrate our love to one another, but also to share our thanks and love to our closest friends and family. Ideally, we'd love to spend under $1500.
Does anyone have any recommendations for artists around this budget? All advice is greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
