Nothing changed with reporting -- it is the same as it has alway been, only the TOS changed. However, I do think people are now watching certain users because of recent threads and posts. I will look into the reporting and see what is going on and make sure the reasoining is  fair on all accounts.

I do think we're having some glitches though with posts - stay tuned...

2.  The posts disappearing are annoying.  However, it does illustrate the issues pretty well so TK gods can work on fixing it.

3. If you're going to apologize, just apologize.  No buts or exceptions or calling people cruel.  Just "I'm sorry" would suffice and let the drama die.  Pot stirring will get you into trouble each and every time.  Just some food for thought.  I'm glad you're back and don't want to see more drama.

Welcome back Hoboken.  As someone who has been unemployed before (thank God not now) and battled health issues in the past, I cannot imagine the overwhelming emotional and mental strength it must take to not let the stress get to you and to stay positive as you support both your DH and your mom. 

Knot Jackie, if I'm not mistaken, has said that TK cannot define the appropriate response to every situation that kicks off on here so it stands to reason that if you are a really active mod and not just a mod in name only, that at some point odds are you will make a mistake, phrase something incorrectly, etc., which you have taken responsibility for.

It's unfortunate that there appears to be a turf battle/power struggle brewing that is boiling over on TK.  I believe some have grown along with and feel a sense of ownership of the site that has been developed over years of posting and building clout.  "Regs" as they are called appear to take wedding matters and social justice issues the most seriously in almost a Vatican I (Latin mass only) vs. Vatican II (different languages) sort of way.  Ironically, the Vatican I regs seem to advocate for a more laissez-faire structure to TK.  But that includes allowing some to denounce others who are not following TK interaction guidelines that they have agreed upon but others haven't and/or are unaware of.  The Vatican II newbs seem to want people to be able to post whatever they want without fear of being labeled negatively so long as the intent of the poster is worded and accepted as being in good faith.

As in all power struggles, the old guard and new guard don't see eye to eye.  And of course there are the independents who straddle the middle depending on the issue.  But eventually everyone will have to compromise and not let the perfect become the enemy of the good.  In the meantime, Hoboken your focus should be on your family.  Continue to treat others with respect and don't worry about figuring out everything on here or always getting it right because unless you turn into one of those "rarely there" mods I can assure you that will never happen.

Yeah I've said this before, but... Ally I don't get your Linger hatred, tbh.  I don't always agree with her, but she's never done anything I thought was bannable.  Disagreeing =/= bannable. 

If she upsets you, utilize the ignore poster option.  That's exactly what it's for. 

The rest of us will still get to enjoy the gifs and dry humor that way :P.

Ally, I can't speak for Hoboken or any other mod or Knot god, but if I were one, my response would be this:

I was a lurker when Linger first came along, and I remember her from day one saying she was there to stir it up. For whatever reason, the powers that be didn't ban her for that. Over time, many people grew to like her, and she just became part of the "vibe" of this board. She calls herself a troll, everyone who has been here for any length of time knows she's the CC troll, but she doesn't ONLY troll. I have seen her actually give helpful advice to people and honestly answer questions w/o just being bitchy and attempting to rile people up. So that makes her not a complete and total troll. She operates on 2 levels, and while she is often abrasive and not liked by some (perhaps many) people, I do not think she falls under the bannable heading.
