Work has been crazy slow because everyone besides me is having technological issues sooo I've received a total of a whopping 6 emails today and 1 phone call...which is a miracle. So here are some random questions lol:

1.       Do you drink bottled/filtered water or just plain ole tap water?

I will drink water from just about anything unless it has something visibly in it. That’s probably gross but I’ve come across people who will only drink bottled water and I just thought to myself how expensive that could get.

2.       If you could choose one language (other than English) to speak every day, what would it be?

French! I love this language and I’ve enjoyed learning it for the past 10 years. I think it’s so beautiful and FI has even picked up on it a little bit.

Nope! I’m a genetics freak. It was my favorite class in college and learning about twins was my favorite subject in that class. I like to see the patterns in families that have twins and how common they occur.

4.       Are the oldest, middle, youngest, or only child? If you’re an only child, did you want siblings growing up?

I’m the middle child with two sisters. We are all very different but I’m glad I get the best of both worlds of having a younger and an older sibling.

5.       What would be your dream job?

To become a high school Biology teacher with the combination of coaching cheerleading or gymnastics.

6.       Do you like candy? What’s your favorite type?

I’m in love with Kit Kat bars and M&Ms (especially in my popcorn)

7.       Favorite scent?

Apple scent from Yankee Candle or Dryer Sheets lol (I love the smell of fresh clothes)

8.       If you have a pet, what is the weirdest quirk about them?

My dog makes a really weird smiling face whenever we come home. It reminds me of the Joker from Batman. Then she tucks her tail under and basically falls on the ground and starts wiggling all over the floor until we pet her.

9.       Have you ever had a Pinterest fail? For example when trying a new recipe or craft?

Yes. I’ve made a couple recipes from Pinterest that sounded awesome and looked great but ended up tasting horrible! I also tried to make this Christmas ornament I saw on there that ended up basically with me putting too much stuff on it so it was too heavy to hang on the tree.

10.   Does your family have any unique traditions for holidays?

We have schnitzel on Christmas Eve every year. It’s our own little German tradition in our family and we used to open one gift on Christmas Eve but that stopped as we got older.

French. I took it all through high school and a semester of it in college but I've let it fade.

Twins do not run in my family and I am not a twin. I wouldn't mind having twins if it means I only have to go through labor once! BF and I only want 2 kids (3 max).

I'm the oldest. I have one younger brother. I always wanted a sister though.

6.  What would be your dream job?

I'd love to be a writer, although I do really love teaching so I don't think I'd want to give that up.

I don't have a huge sweet tooth (as a kids my Halloween candy usually went mostly uneaten) but I do love Reese's Peanutbutter cups!

8. Favorite scent?

Pine trees. I love up being up in the mountains.

9. If you have a pet, what is the weirdest quirk about them? If you don't have a pet, what's the weirdest quirk about you?

My brothers giant dog (we aren't sure what type of dog he is) thinks he is a lap dog. It's hilarious.

11. Have you ever had a Pinterest fail? For example when trying a new recipe or craft?

No, all the recipes I've tried have come out really well. I haven't tried any of the crafts I've pinned but I can almost guarantee if I did try them they would be a fail.

12. Does your family have any unique traditions for holidays?

We always cut down our own Christmas tree. I don't really know if that counts as unique though.

After hearing Afrikaans for a couple weeks, I think it's really interesting and pretty so I'll go with that!

Not in my mom's or my dad's but they run in my stepdad's family. I'm not and no I do not want them.

I'm my mom's only and I never lived with or was close to my half or step siblings but I have a half brother, a half sister, 4 step sisters, and 2 step brothers. 

 What would be your dream job? 

I'm not even sure. Something involving animals. 

Do you like candy? What’s your favorite type?

Chocolate. Right now I'm craving those sour straws though so I might need to run to the store downstairs shortly!

Favorite scent? 

Auntie Anne's. Drooooool. Or if we're talking perfume, I prefer Chanel Chance.

All three of them are weird as hell. Bailey chews on plastic and screams bloody murder if you walk near him. Hailey meows non-stop and attacks the wall for no reason whatsoever. Lucy will not leave the apartment when you get home at the end of the day until you go all the way inside, pet her, and then leave with her.

Nope, I haven't tried anything from Pinterest.

At Thanksgiving, we all bring pie crusts and fill them with the leftovers from dinner. Then we all have several "pot-pies" to heat up for the next few weeks!

4.       Do twins run in your family? Are you a twin? Would you want twins? My grandmother was a twin, planned parenthood thought my mom was having twins up until her last trimester. I'm not a twin. If it happened, I would be fine with it.

6.       What would be your dream job? Working with animals or doing research with whales or dolphins on a boat.

9.       If you have a pet, what is the weirdest quirk about them? If you don't have a pet, what's the weirdest quirk about you? My cat has so many weird quirks. He likes to have staring contests. He'll hide behind corners and creepily look at you. He eats dog food. He chases the dog around the house. Every time he uses the litter box he runs around the house like crazy. He talks, he begs for food, he sleeps in the same spot on my bed even after we moved. The dog's quirks are that he poops on our driveway, he scooches his butt across the floor and after multiple visits to the vet, they have determined this is his "party trick" since he doesn't have ringworm or any gland issues. He sleeps on the top of the couch, he sleeps over our heads in the bed. He snores, he'll sleep belly up. He does what we call a "puppy stretch" when he has to go to the bathroom.

12.   Does your family have any unique traditions for holidays? Um, we have lasagna on Christmas eve and on Thanksgiving we have a special salad that's been in our family for a long time.

12. Does your family have any unique traditions for holidays? We have appetizers for dinner on Christmas Eve - potato skins, wings, etc.  It's delicious and amazing.

I LOVE CANDY.  i was always the one who got candy instead of ice cream or baked goods when my parents got us a treat.  i cannot get enough of the jolly rancher awesome twosome chewy sour things.  basically anything fruity covered in sour sugar is good with me.

If you don't have a pet, what's the weirdest quirk about you? my cat rolls over like a dog.  except he kind of body slams the ground / the tops of your feet instead of a cute roll-over.  and he won't eat chicken if i toss it to him from the counter.  he prefers popcorn and dry spaghetti.

For example when trying a new recipe or craft? not really... i've made some less than stellar recipes (pro-tip: the "man pleasing chicken" recipe that has accolades out its butthole is mediocre at best).  besides that though i like to think i pick my pinterest battles pretty wisely.

12. Does your family have any unique traditions for holidays? mmm not really.  we basically just turn every holiday / special occasion into an unreasonably large feast.  thanksgiving has nothing on our new years eve fondue foodfest.  we're gluttonous.

@KeptInStitches -My dog will bathe my FI whenever he comes over. I think it's so gross because who knows what my dog has eaten throughout the day.

@Blue&White- I hate needles too. I had a bad experience with the doctor with shots when I was pretty young and I still get nervous and shaky around them. 

@LivLeighton- I had no idea they discontinued Ralph Lauren Cool. I used to wear that scent too and then buy the others as well. I ran out of them a long time ago and I started wearing Ralph Lauren Romance.

@LivLeighton - that sucks about your great-grandma, at least you got a tradition out of it though. I had a great-grandma who was really scary. She had dementia though and I don't think she meant to be as scary as she was.

@bethsmiles - somehow, my aunt/uncle thought it would be a cool idea.  It's pretty competitive (with a pretty long list of rules, haha).  But it's entertaining, so I can't complain.

I always have a stash of bubble water in the fridge - that's what I call sparkling (not seltzer) water. My favorite is raspberry blackberry. I will drink tap though, and we also have a Brita.

Brady is an asshole. He meows, 100% of the time, never shuts up. He plays fetch. He randomly sprints around the apartment for no reason. Violet takes the first mouthful of food out of her bowl, carries it somewhere, spits it out & refuses to eat it. Then eats the rest of the bowl. She also does this thing as soon as we get outside, she rolls in the grass... but doesn't just roll, she puts her head down and somersaults over.

Yes... I found a recipe where you took a box of angel food cake and a can of pie filling & it was supposed to make this delicious cake. We put it in too deep of a pan, and it just exploded in the oven. This is why we can't have nice things.

We don't listen to Christmas music - the only song we listen to is Jimmy Buffett's Christmas in the Carribean. (We live in Maine. I realize this is just effing weird. haha)

@rdr & Peek:  the Gap used to make a perfume called 'Grass' that I just loved, it's next to impossible to find any more, but I'm guessing you'd both love it as much as I do!

3.       If you could choose one language (other than English) to speak every day, what would it be?  German.  FI and I both have German ancestry.  Sometimes I wish we could speak another language in front of the children.

4.       Do twins run in your family? Are you a twin? Would you want twins?  No, they don't.  I already have 4 kiddos, all singletons, so that's enough for me!  There are twins in my exH's family, and I think it's neat when it happens.

5.       Are you the oldest, middle, youngest, or only child? If you’re an only child, did you want siblings growing up?  I am oldest, have one sister almost 5 years younger.

6.       What would be your dream job?  Psychologist or Psychiatrist.  I don't have the strength or the money to go back to school.

7.       Do you like candy? What’s your favorite type?  I'm a huge fan of Almond Joy and Heath Bars.

8.       Favorite scent?  Fresh cut grass, camp fires, bread baking, fresh linens.

If you don't have a pet, what's the weirdest quirk about you?  We have 3 brown, female, tabby cats.  My oldest, Squeaky, will be 13 this year and she's quirky in that she's neurotic.  She's afraid of her own shadow.  She also loves to eat curling ribbon only to puke or poop it out later for me to find, she hates when I treat her with flea stuff on the back of her neck and spends 2 days under the couch when I do so, she can smell cheese from across the house and comes running when we get it out, and she loves to be near me as much as possible.  

11.   Have you ever had a Pinterest fail? For example when trying a new recipe or craft?  Pinterest was a passing fancy for me, I don't use it much.

12.   Does your family have any unique traditions for holidays?  We gather every Christmas Eve with my Dad's side of the family, and my mom's side of the family makes lentil soup for New Year's Eve.  Not terribly unique, but that's what we do.

We always do an additional secret santa beyond other gifts. We always visit a light display at a local shriners too.
