Ordering bridal party dresses

Hey ladies, how far out are you having your bridal party order their dresses. The lady at the store told me that my girls should be ordering now (date 10/19). Does this seem a little soon or is this about right. Nobody wants to order now. Everybody claims to be "trying to lose some weight" I have been on them about this but only a few of them are ok with ordering. Am i asking too early? What do you all think

I have my girls ordering their dresses now and my wedding is 11/16. I'm not sure if that is too some but that's what I did and so far I think 3 of the 6 girls ordered already

The only reason I'm not gonna bother them about ordering now is because the ppl said they can actually order in July or early August but u may need to order early depending on where u are getting the dresses frm...#datetwins

I placed the order on July 1st for the December 2nd wedding date. I couldnt play games

My girls ordered in March for my August wedding.  The dresses came in during the first week of May.

My girls were actually suppose to order this week before I changed the date for November 23 The dress I wanted was on back order and was actually made in China and I had read some reviews that this one chick on wedding wire ordered from this designer (Mori Lee) and her dresses didn't come back until a week before her wedding so I wasn't playing any games. Now my bff that got married recently had us order our dresses the year before and I was like WTW!!

@drmass2013.. did you say a year in advance...your bff was focus.. I told my girls but im not sure if all of them did it yet...

you need to order them asap for them to come back and be altered and have them in time for your date....

@LeciaB yes a year, she wasn't playing any games at all with us. She was planning from across country and all of her bridal party was from all over so I think she wanted to make sure we were on it. Planning from another state can be stressful I've found that out for myself.

Ok. Now I don't feel like im being so bothersome. Well 1 of my girls dress came back yesterday and everyone else is supposed to be ordering friday.

i am planning from maryland getting married in ga 

bm all over... a year out is risky if folks gain weight.. but not my wedding lol 

most places tell you 6-8 weeks at the least for bm dresses you want to get them back and have enough time for alterations but no excess weight gain....

I'm ordering mine in the next 2 weeks. Now is not too early in my opinion.

My girls ordered early Jan they were here by mid March. Wedding was in April
