Hi All, I am newly engaged and new to the board. I want to start focusing on getting in shape for the wedding so I've been lurking around. I do work out a lot, but then when I get the extra calories from working out I tend to use them up so I never actually lose more weight I just stay the same while just looking more toned. My goal is to enter my food in my myfitnesspal on all weekdays and not use up all my extra calories from working out. I need to be more accountable for what I'm eating and it looks like this board is a good place to start
Re: Introduction
First of all - YAY for you participating with myfitnesspal! It is a tool that has greatly helped a lot of us. Secondly, when you enter your information on MFP, it will already put you at a caloric deficit - when you exercise you will "earn" calories back and you SHOULD eat those! It's recommended to put yourself at a 500 calorie deficit (that's the MFP default), so you really should be trying to eat the amount of calories MFP gives you.
Beyond MFP, you should join in on our daily accountability threads
