BRIDES PLEASE HELP!!!!! My wedding was suppose to be on August 16, 2013 at Jericho Terrace in Mineola, NY. The wedding has been cancelled and I want to receive my money back but they will only do so if they re-book that day. Please let me know if you want the date for sure. Hope this doesn't happen to any other bride. Good Luck!

    Is the venue near where you live? If so, drop in for a visit of the property for the time you had booked to see if another party is using it. If there  has been another event booked and going on DISCREETLY, as not to interrupt the event in progress, take some pictures or video as evidence. If they lie to you and refuse to refund you, you have proof to take to court. If the space is not being used, it sounds like you are out of luck :(

    Check your Contract.  Mine says that my original deposit is non refundable but any other payments after the fact are refundable.  Sorry I can't be more help.
