Hey ladies so my fiancé and I have decided to do a courthouse wedding with a small dinner with friends and family at home. I'm wearing a long white bridesmaid dress because its much cheaper than going with a bridal gown. My question is can I still wear a single layer elbow length veil? Or is that too formal? I don't really like the short veils.

First of all, if people are invited, you're not eloping. You can absolutely wear a veil- go all out! I would get a bouquet from a grocery store (mine had some fabulous ones!) and get someone to take plenty of pictures. 

Just know this is your only chance to wear the whole bridal get-up, do first dances, cake cutting, etc. If you were to throw a party to celebrate with more people later, it's not a re-do wedding.

Of course you can wear a veil!
