Wedding Woes

limo vent

so i went and asked all my female cousins and my sister to be in my wedding so that left me with 7 total plus my fi 7 that he needed. now i need a limo to transport us all problem is the stretch hummers are very hard to find in my state due to some traffic laws there are a few company's that ha ve them and recently some of those laws have been lifted so stretch hummers can be on the road.  well for 3-4 hours to fit 16 people they want 800-1000  way to much money that i want to spend and i cant see how it would cost that much. so then i went and looked into party buses same prices range scratch that.

my next option was the 10 passanger stretch lincons or expeditions lowest price i got quoted was 475 for 4 hours red carpeted service bottle of champaine and that included tax. that would get me and my girls to the church then after church it would be me my fi then we would have our moh my sister and his best friend whos the best man but then everyone else has to find a way to pictures thats not a problem as everyone is coming with family to the wedding plus my parents will have some extra room in the car to transport 2 people to pictures. but then i feel like well everyone cant enjoy the limo.

my mom and dad said rent a really nice sports car or suv for the day like those cofur (sp) companys  that will drive it for you and let everyone else go in cars to church pictures and reception i am going to a bridal fair on novemeber two  of them i am hoping that a limo companys are there  and has a show special so i can maybe get a better rate for  a bigger limo

We did not provide transportation for our wedding party. They were all adults with vehicles and handled getting to the church and reception/hotel. Is there a reason you think this is necessary?
this is what I'm doing too.... the expense isn't worth it.

I would agree to a certain extent that if, immediately after the ceremony, everyone went straight to the reception, limo rentals do seem unnecessary.  However, OP, and many other bridal couples, schlepp all over creation after the ceremony for photo opportunities.  In this situation I do think renting something for the party to collectively drive in is the more appropriate thing to do.
