Need a gluten free caterer in Austin/Dripping Springs area

Hello fellow Knotties!! My wedding is on March 14, 2014. I am looking for a gluten free caterer and the search is proving to be more difficult than I originally thought. I don't want an informal BBQ or a formal sit-down dinner. I am looking for a buffet style dinner with some appetizers for the cocktail hour. Catering with a Twist is booked for that date. I sent inquiries to Whole Food and Crave Catering. Any others? Thanks!!

  • You can try to contact Wild Wood Bakehouse - They are completely gluten free.  http://www.wildwoodbakehouse.com/#!catering/c1a4e

I'm not sure what kind of food they cater, but their Sunday brunches are amazing - went yesterday in fact! :-)

I am currently in contact with a caterer, who is putting together a custom menu to meet our very specific and picky tastes! I am the pickiest of all pickies! I got the reference here from another bride who recently used them for full service, and they do offer 100% gluten free menus, too! We're needing a mix to accommodate to a few raw vegans with really strict allergies and then several gluten free options that I'm really excited about trying out, as I have been on the kick myself for over a year now and love my new lifestyle!

You should reach out to Christina Alfonso, Catering Director of www.mesohungryaustin.com. She was so sweet, full of energy and very informative. She knew a lot about diet restrictions and recommended food that would pair well together, considering all of our limitations (including budget). The website only shows their food truck menu and Asian fusion catering options, however don't let that steer you away, they also customize menus to meet their clients needs and offer any food genre you can think of! They put fusion twists and spins on any traditional dish you can imagine. I am really excited about offering a menu that all my guests will be comfortable eating yet be blown away by with flavors, that are anything but normal. David and I are excited about pairing our favorite foods and sharing them with everyone we love! =)

Maybe this will also force me to venture out some too into his Latin rooted heritage and make it work with my southern belle style. I should be getting a proposal back in a couple days. I'll let you know how everything turns out, as well as our tasty tasting!  Best of luck to you, I know what a pain that can be. HTH!

  • Thank you! I sent them an email.:)
  • Well it took me 11 tries, but I finally was able to book a caterer. I'm going with Dagars. Got everything I was looking for, all within my budget. :)
