Confession: I quit my job on Tuesday morning...I just couldn't take it anymore. My boss has been so horrible for too long and I don't think anyone should come home crying after work. It was getting to the point where my anger with work wasn't going away after I left the office and I don't ever want FI to experience that when I get home. So I'm unemployed but I have a second interview for another position with a medical office next Monday and I really enjoyed meeting their staff in my interview with them yesterday so I hope that progresses as well.

Irrational Irritation: That somehow everyone just forgets how to drive in the rain.

Good luck at your second interview! I know you have been super-unhappy at work for a while now, so I totally get your decision. I'm crossing my fingers that you'll get an awesome new job to go with the soon-to-be new husband very soon! :)

Haha, this is the classic "its not you, its me" scenario.  I really have lost all motivation with all the GBCKs the change in Mods and forum procedures and well yeah I'm just too jaded to get to know anyone.  I'll keep skulking around.

  • Thanks, Lyn, CShiano, and Buddy.

Bri, if you had watched Dexter first you would have enjoyed it, at least up until Season 4.

    I also like Wrecking Ball.

But now I don't care to watch it at all, because I know it went on for way too long. Meh, maybe I'll get to it eventually. But I don't have the desire to anymore like I did pre-Breaking Bad.

I can understand that. TK as a whole has just become less interesting since everything that went down in August or whenever. I still think you ladies in NEY are pretty cool, though, so I'm gonna stick around.
  • Irrational irritation: That my little envelope pictures aren't showing up in my sig. I don't know how to fix it and I'm about to delete it.
  • Confession: everytime I look at @kait's sig pic it reminds me how much I hate feet. I like the picture of you two, but the feet bother me.

Did something happen with feet or something? I dunno. I don't mind feet?

Daisypath Anniversary tickers Daisypath Anniversary tickers
  • @kait I don't know where my hate of feet started. Mind you, I was a hairstylist and part of the curriculum was to do pedicures and I gagged through the whole process. It's not your feet, it's feet in general!

Funny/weird/sad thing is that my ex-BF had a weird foot fetish.

Gah! I'm mobile today so I have no idea why there are empty boxes! My sig needs updating anyway so I may just swap it out when I have time later.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees only ONE picture of @suzie211 and her now-H! I thought it was my old internet explorer! Also I feel your pain with the Halloween candy, this is the first Halloween in my new house (last year's was cancelled) and I'm like "do I buy all the candy?" I think we're getting one big bag and see how that pans out.

@Kait Ugh that sucks. I had those all over my feet when I was a kid. One day they just went away.

  • @imhollister, lucky! I wish that would happen. I'm trying the Compound W Gel stuff right now. It's going ok, but not half as fast as I'd like it to!

FINALLY SOMEONE CALLED OUT FART BUBBLER! I didn't want to be labeled the mean attacker, but that shiz has been irritating the poop out of me. I'm on the super irritable side lately, so I wasn't sure if it was just me.

    Glad to feel so unwanted.

Also, Irritation: Being called Fart Bubbler! That's the same as being called an offensive name in my book but I'm not going to go crying about it. It's just irritating.

Confession: People who get so upset over little things, people need to grow a thicker skin (see above). Fart Bubbler is not a bad name!!!!! Being called fat/ugly/stupid etc is a bad name, trust me, I've been there.

  • @beanbot2002 No side eyeing here! I think one a decade is ok :)

@amapola14 I know that my relationship with FI was super rocky during law school, esp when we were living apart. So I sort of know how you are feeling, and I just wanted to say that it does get better. Don't feel bad about needing to put more focus into school right now, and I'm sure your BF understands how hard it is for you. My suggestion is to find a few hours once a week that is just for you and him, even if its just to catch a movie or a burger. Focus more on the quality of the time then the quantity of the time.  When I was in law school we didn't see each other during the week, but Friday night was 'our night'. Then I had the weekend to study.

Confession: I am jealous of @southernpeach89 ability to just quit her job and then have interviews lined up so fast. I hate hate hate my job to the point that its creeping into the rest of my life.

irrational irritation: I don't so much mind Bubbles posting, b/c she was told to just post and hang out and try to integrate into the boards. I do however have a HUGE issue with the fact that Bubbles is immune to good advice and refuses to contact a therapist.

  • @bubbles053009 wait, you're kidding, right? I know you're kidding. Please tell me you're kidding.

Fartbubbler is probably the funniest shit ever. I think it applies to you. It makes me laugh. You, don't.

Also, the martyr act? Get over yourself. Not playing that game.

  • Confession: I have a feeling this thread is going to be Fart Bubbler defending herself and her ignorance.

I love how the name Fart Bubbler stuck, bubbles can you change your SN to that?

Bah. I have two on my right foot. They don't bother me, pain-wise, but they're soooo ugly & gross. And when I get pedicures they always try to scrape them off/out. Uh, no, DON'T FUCKING DO THAT. It hurts!!

  • *GROOOOOOOAAAAAAAN* I can see where this thread is going...

In any case, @lennonkdc, thank you! I needed to hear that so, so badly. It is definitely tough going right now, especially living apart and both of us having a lot of family around when we do get to see each other. But you're absolutely right, quality time is very important, even if we don't get a whole lot of it. I've been trying to see him 2-3 times per week, but then I get no time for just me, which is probably why I'm so cranky all the time. I'll definitely try to work out a better schedule for both of us. If all else fails...only 9 more months!

I had one in junior high on the bottom of my big toe.  had the surgery to remove it, but still have scar tissue there.  just THINKING about them trying to scrape it makes me want to hurl and pass out.

I hate that for you, it's such an awful thing to hate your job that much and that it affects your life outside of it. It was getting to be that way with mine and I talked to a guy recently who goes to my gym and he said that he has never stuck with a job that he was miserable at. I know it's the hardest choice to leave a secure job to find something that you enjoy because jobs are so scarce today. A lot of people are unfortunately in that situation. I've done a lot of applications through some job search websites (even while I was at work) so I could have something set up hopefully once I quit. Even though I didn't start early enough to have that, I had a few interviews after I quit to maybe look into and see if it was a good fit.

I recommend doing that if you are thinking about leaving anytime in the next month. In my situation it helped to have a few connections in a bunch different companies so I could at least get my resume out and about to different hiring managers. So if you know anyone within another company that's hiring then having them forward your resume along is a great way to get in front of the hiring manager faster than if you submit it through their online system.
  • @buddysmom80 Only do it if you really want to throw up. They aren't always bad but mine were absolutely nasty. I had clusters of them...and ugh...just thinking about them makes my stomach queasy. I used to be super nervous about being barefoot and anyone seeing the underside of the one foot that was really bad.

  • @suzie211 I don't want anyone to blow sunshine and rainbows up my ass. I have admitted I acted childish and immature. I've stopped doing so.

And yes a good portion of my questions have been about my relationship. Shouldn't I be allowed to ask some questions about my relationship on a forum about relationships? Yes I made my BF out to be an ass, something that I now cannot take back to show that I didn't mean what I posted. When I get upset, I tend to post things I do not mean. I'm sure everyone has those days. I just don't like hearing how much my BF is an asshole when he is nothing like I made him out to be in one single post I made when I was upset.

And I am taking the advice to go and see a counselor. I would like to discuss with my nurse practioner when I see her for my physical next month if she can suggest someone to me. If she can't then I will do my own searching.

Since that entire blow up, I have refrained from posting anything negative and have posted several posts that a few of the women on here have loved. I'm learning everyday how I need to act. Everything that has happened on this forum has been a learning experience. Maybe some time down the road the whole lot of us can look back and say how ridiculous it all was.

To the bolded: Probably not since you tried to deceive us when you closed an old account and opened a new one.

Us NEYers have a pretty good memory.
