  • @buddysmom80 Only do it if you really want to throw up. They aren't always bad but mine were absolutely nasty. I had clusters of them...and ugh...just thinking about them makes my stomach queasy. I used to be super nervous about being barefoot and anyone seeing the underside of the one foot that was really bad.
Eeesh, yea, mine aren't nearly that bad. I just have two little ones. I had a friend from high school that I played field hockey with who had to have surgery because hers were really really bad. I was always nervous that mine were going to be like that, but they've never changed.

I care about baseball because the Red Sox are playing, but I'm sick & tired of East Coast games starting at 8-fucking-pm. I'm too old for this nonsense.

Irrational Irritation: My coworker who finds it necessary to fill every little silence with inane comments about why her day happens to suck today. My desk is in a central location, and EVERY SINGLE TIME she walks by me, she's all "my allergies are acting up today" or "I have a headache" or "I shouldn't have worn high heels today, my feet hurt" or "Ugh, I'm having a bad hair day" and so on. I can't even respond anymore, I just roll my eyes. SO IRRITATING.

Irrational Irritation: Keith Urban. Any time he comes on the radio, I have to switch the station.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't get what all the fuss is about with Breaking Bad. I tried to watch an episode on Netflix with BF, but I thought it was boring and stupid.
So tell us (this could stir the pot): who is your favorite & least favorite reg?

About Breaking Bad - did you watch a random episode, or did you start from the beginning? The good stuff doesn't start happening until like episode 3, and then it's a shit show from there. But you can't just jump in.

Aw, poor Keith. I saw him in concert with Sugarland a few years ago, and I was really only excited for Sugarland, but Keith can PLAY that guitar. He was a really great performer. I also have a soft spot for "Days Go By," so there's that too.

*GROOOOOOOAAAAAAAN* I can see where this thread is going...

In any case, @lennonkdc, thank you! I needed to hear that so, so badly. It is definitely tough going right now, especially living apart and both of us having a lot of family around when we do get to see each other. But you're absolutely right, quality time is very important, even if we don't get a whole lot of it. I've been trying to see him 2-3 times per week, but then I get no time for just me, which is probably why I'm so cranky all the time. I'll definitely try to work out a better schedule for both of us. If all else fails...only 9 more months!
I wanted to respond to this before I read the rest of this thread. Honestly, talk to him about cutting in back to one night- just for a few weeks. As a trade off, on that one night, its just you two, no worrying about school or family or the future. Do something fun and whacky and relaxing. It helps. Then set aside one night for you. Pick a night where you close your books by 8 pm and have some wine and watch crappy tv, or take a walk, or wander around Target, whatever. I know it feels like you're ignoring you work, but you're not. Your brain NEEDS a break. Its science :) Cut yourself some slack. Hugs!!!

  • @bubbles053009 I get you are trying to convince us all that your BF isn't an asshat, but all you've done is backtrack from your original statement.  So you continue to get called out.

I do the same thing not on the interwebs. My BFF IRL is dating an asshat.  I called her out on it.  She paints a pretty shitty picture of her BF, and his actions really don't make him look any better.  I want her to be happy, but in order for me to be happy for them I need to see some real work on his part.  As her friend I support whatever decision she makes, but I won't let her go into it blindly.  That's what friends do.

This forum can allow for some one sided posts, and without the whole picture it is easy to make a judgement call. I still haven't seen any proof of your BF not being the douche you originally spelled him out to be.  Maybe if your posts reflected this, I wouldn't be as offended by you not listening to the really sound advice given here.  I think you have a lot to work to do on your communication skills here and in your relationship.

You ultimately don't have to prove anything to us to continue to be in your relationship.  Just don't expect their to be ignorance to what was originally said.

I think Fart Bubbler is giving us excuses, next excuse will be that there is no internet where she is from...

    Ditto.  They suck.

I also hear you on the slutty Halloween costumes.  Its like Halloween is the one day everyone finds it acceptable to wear barely any clothing.  I like to have my who-ha covered at all times, but will happily be practically naked on Halloween.  It so I can be old and wrinkly and look back at my hot self.  My window for people wanting to see my half naked is rapidly closing.

I'm right there with you.  H wants to get into now, and I apparently couldn't get past the first two episodes when I tried it last time.   We like to find shows that have at least a couple years of episodes to watch.  It becomes our neutral ground when one is leaning towards sports and the other is leaning towards trashy reality TV.  This way we always know there is at least one show to agree on.

Confession: I want newbs to say I'm their favorite reg even though 1) I haven't been around much lately (hello Lurky McLurkerson) and 2) I've been a lot more bitchy around here lately than I used to be.

Unpopular op: I don't like dressing up for Halloween. Adults in costumes freak me out. Kids don't bother me, but I'm THRILLED that I'm travelling on 10/31 for work this year, so I can ignore Halloween altogether.

Irrational irritation: Ditto BriSox on the starting an 'ask me anything' and then disappearing. What the?

  • Damn work getting in the way of knotting again!

I agree with everyone about The Bubbler. Shocking, I know. I also have no interest in getting into her shit again so I'm leaving it at that.

I hate other people's feet. I like my own because I have cute feet. Even though I have cute feet, I wouldn't include them in a siggy pic ALL UP IN YO' FACE because, ew.

I do not know what a planter's wart is and I do not want to know.

@cschiano - I'm with you on the baseball thing. I couldn't care less. Football and hockey ALL DAY!

@LivLeighton - I love you and will cheer you up with my twerkin' next weekend.

@BriSox81 - WE GET IT. You like Breaking Bad! Also, I agree with Liv about Dexter up to season 4. Season 4 was fantastic. And I also hate random defriendings on FB especially when you still interact with the person in some ways. Grow some balls already.

  • @cschiano - I love you, but that picture made me sick to my stomach. I'm not joking, there is something that really disturbs me about adults in costumes, especially ones including masks (I NEED TO SEE YOUR EYES) or blood.
