Happy Friday, ladies! What's on the agenda for the weekend?

I'll be providing gifs in this post since I know how much you all love them. Feel free to do the same.

Tonight, I desperately need to catch up on my DVR. Hart of Dixie, Agents of SHIELD, Survivor, Top Chef, American Horror Story, The Crazy Ones, and Scandal are waiting for me. (Yes, I watch a lot of TV -- and that's just part of the week.)

Tomorrow morning, my aunt's picking me up in the morning and we're driving up to URI to visit my cousin. My other cousin is meeting us there and we're all staying overnight. There will be alcohol involved. I'm totally going to pretend I'm college-age again. 

I'll be at the Eagles bar in Hoboken on Sunday. Go Birds!

FI just left to go play in the woods with all his friends. So today will be focused on putting wedding stuff together so when the day finally arrives I'll have everything ready to go. The only things left I need to do are programs and escorts. It feels good to almost be done. Tonight I'll probably just drink with my family.

Saturday I have a wax in the morning and then we are going to an afternoon wedding for a family friend of ours...I'm sad that FI can't come with me but at least I'll have @lmhollister there with me. After that we will probably go booze shopping for my bach party and other things.

Sunday is church and then after that is my final final final fitting no matter what! I'm so tired of not having my dress finished so if they don't have it ready I'm taking it somewhere else. After that I'll be doing some Whole30 grocery shopping so I need to make a meal plan today probably before that.

I want your weekend!

Tonight I think is just a lazy night at home, maybe clean a little. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get to the apple orchard so I can make pie or crisp or something and then at night I bartend until close (maybe).

Sunday I work at the bar again. My whole day on Sunday will be consumed at the bar. Packers don't play until 3:25 so my first 4 hours will be completely dead. However, that gives me plenty of time to go through all of our honeymoon pictures (ps, I didn't forget to post to you ladies, TK was just being a bitch the last few days for me).

Yay, I love GIFS!

Today I'm going to the lab to argue with my study partner about why everything in a foley catheter kit is freaking STERILE.

Then BF and I are going out to dinner with his aunt and her BF from California. They were pretty cool the last time I saw them, so it should be fun.

Tomorrow our clinical instructor is AMAZING for letting us come in a bit late and basically have a study day. So all day my heart is going to be like:

Tomorrow night BF and the family and I are going out to dinner to meet my brother's new girlfriend. Family dinner. Yikes.

Sunday will be spent freaking out and frantically preparing for hell week.

Tomorrow I need to run 8 miles, then I think I'm going to tackle our basement. It's out of control and it could be SO organized with just a little bit of work. Also, I think there's a ton of stuff we could sell on craigslist, so that's my motivation.

Then DH and I are going to Kohls because we both need new jeans. Then at 8pm, my #3 ranked Clemson Tigers play #5 ranked Florida State in football. I'm nearly peeing myself I'm so excited.

Sunday will be more basement cleaning and crocheting a baby blanket for my friend.

@CocoBellaF -I should be ok, it's more so I can support FI and do it with him so I'm not tempting him by eating other foods that he would rather eat. He says he is one pant size away from his goal so he is pretty determined to lose that before the wedding.

today is supposed to be cold (in the 40's during the day) and rainy.  I'm at work until 2:30 or so, then H and I will probably go shopping and run errands...  and then pick somewhere fun to go eat!  I totally plan on going to my favorite coffee shop/bakery tonight for a nice mocha or latte.  it's the perfect weather for it!

Saturday (daytime) I don't really have any plans besides making a tasty brunch (ST's Whole Wheat Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes, what what!) and an equally-tasty late lunch (Martha Stewart Tortilla Pie).  that evening, instead of having our normal Spanish-speaking service, our Spanish-speaking group is hosting Tamale Night!  we're going to give lessons to other ladies (and men, if they want to come) on how to make tamales.  hopefully a lot of people show up...  I think I'll make some snickerdoodles or something for us to snack on (lessons are from 5:30-8:30).

Sunday we will go to church and I'm making an Irish Beef and Stout stew for lunch (OH YUM).  I need to buy just one can of Guinness (or an Irish Stout beer).  I don't drink, so I have no idea where/if I can get just one can of Guinness or something similar.  I looked at 7/11, but couldn't find what I needed.  anymore ideas?

1) I love tamales!!!! I'm so jealous! During the holiday season, a lot of my Puerto Rican friends and co-workers make pasteles which are kind of like tamales, but just as yummy. They are labor-intensive so I'll buy a ton from someone and stock them up in my freezer for a quick weeknight meal.

2) Do you guys have liquor/package stores? If you go to the coolers they usually have single cans of beer. I'm surprised a 7-11 didn't have that though! Good luck!

@buddysmom80 - 7/11 had Heineken but when I googled it (total beer newb) it wasn't labeled as an Irish Stout, and the recipe is very particular that it HAS TO BE an Irish Stout.

we do have liquor stores, I will run in one today and see.  I will be carded as soon as I walk in the door, as I look about a decade younger than I really am.  H looks older, so I might just send him in there and spare myself the HUMILIATION.

ETA:  I would mail you frozen tamales if I could!  TAMALES FOR EVERYONE!!

Tonight is BF's Freemason Oktoberfest. So driving down there after work and meeting his second family's grandfather. He's one of those, I built my own log cabin in the middle of nowhere in Vermont and like guns. I guess now that I've been accepted as part of the family, he's been asking about me. 

Tomorrow is the Lodge Open House and then BF's work is doing a "Meet the Ladies of Firelight." So I guess I'm formally meeting all of his coworkers and their significant others. I guess there's a new baby in the mix and a newly engaged couple.

Sunday will be chill day. Today and tomorrow is way too much socializing! I'll need the chill pill.

@Swazzle & @buddysmom80 - if I can't find Guinness, do y'all know of another Irish Stout I can find in a single can?  thanks for the help!  I feel so stupid wandering around in there and googling every can of beer.

@cocobellaf when my mom needed a certain beer, alcohol, etc for a recipe she would ask the guy at the liquor store so if you can't find Guiness in a single can, ask someone there and they'll help you out.

Or you can get a six pack of Guiness and ship me frozen tamales and the rest of the six-pack of Guiness to me! The only beer I drink is Guiness.

Tonight I'm heading over to @Suzie211's house with @minskat30 to eat cheese and drink wine.  NOM.




Tomorrow I'm not sure what I'll do, but I'm reasonably certain it'll involve cleaning the house, hanging with DH, and my brother.  My brother is looking to get a fancy new aquarium, so I'll probably help with that.




Sunday I'm going to try to get brunch with my former co-worker and her H.

No plans for tonight other than babysitting the kid until about 7pm. I'll probably make a pizza for dinner since I haven't made one in a while and we have both wine and beer in the fridge so there is pretty much no good reason to leave the apartment this evening.

Tomorrow I'm meeting some friends at the Woodbury Commons to go shopping. They're taking some bus from the city, and hen will be driving back with me later. On my list are moccasins, red jeans and/or corduroy skinnies, and sweaters. I really shouldn't spend to much since I don't even have a real job, but I have several hundred dollars of babysitting money stashed in my closet and it's burning a hole in my...closet door? Seriously, the father of this kid pays me in hundreds and always rounds up to the nearest hundred. I love him.

Saturday night is dinner in the city and then meeting up with friends and friends-of-friends at a to-be-determined location. BF is responsible for finding an interesting new restaurant to go to, and I'm excited/scared to see what he picks.

Sunday is dog park, football, cleaning, and Homeland.

Working from home today. I have plans to meet a girlfriend at a local farmer's market for lunch so that should be a lot of fun. BF is probably going to leave tonight for @southernpeach89's FI's bachelor party. He's stressing out over what to bring because he think it doesn't seem well organized. Apparently as of today on their event FB group someone asked if anyone was bringing a grill. So yeah....whatever it's a bunch of guys in the woods drinking. I'm sure everyone will be pretty happy regardless.

Tomorrow I'm taking the pup to the vet for her final round of puppy shots. Yay! Then I need to schedule a date for her to get fixed...poor thing. She's going to have to wear the cone of shame. I'll be sure to AW her embarrassment. After that is the wedding of my BFF's little sister. I don't really want to go. I've always thought her sister was kind of spoiled and bratty although she has matured somewhat over the years. The person I really really don't like is her FI. In every single encounter I've had with him he's bragged about his income, been obnoxious in my home at a party I was hosting...harassing some of my guests and in general being a nuisance, and he was also incredibly rude to a friend of mine when we went out to eat at a restaurant. Long story, but basically his behavior and attitude were just unacceptable and really childish. I'm going anyway because I love my BFF and I want to see her be an awesome MOH and also because her parents are like my second mom and dad.

Sunday BF is going to try to be back from the bachelor party in the very early afternoon so we can go apple picking. I'm really excited because the tastiest apple ever (Kentucky Black) is supposed to be available at the orchard we are going to. And we get to take the dog! It really frustrates me that so many outdoor events and activities around here aren't dog friendly...at least this particular place is as long as she is leashed.

Saturday I will be here for about 12 hours. Football, soccer, women's hockey, men's hockey.

Sunday is relaxing with the BF and the animals, wearing sweatpants, and watching football.

This weekend is BUSY but its going to be fun! We are (fingers crossed for good weather) going to be doing our E-pics tomorrow morning, then there is a beer and wine tasting that FI has been dying to go to that starts at noon, then we're going to dinner at my parents house at 4. Sunday we are doing nothing, we might watch the Browns game, but they SUCK so we probably won't...

My funny story is that since FI reattached the venting for the dryer (his dad hooked it up the first time, Fi just got new venting) the sensor has been timing out before the clothes are dry. So I'll set the dryer, come back in an hour and the dryers off but my clothes are still wet. So I thought, gee, I wonder if the venting is the issue, as FI has a near right angle bend in it. I mentioned it to him on the phone this AM and he said "nope can't possibly be the vent, no way" Well not one to take no for an answer, I rearranged the venting so its more of a straight line to the exhaust. And it ran just fine through the whole cycle. So I called FI back, told him I fixed it, and his answer, "Its not the vent, you probably jostled the power cord..." MEN! But anyway my dryer works now

Tonight I'm baking a cake (specifically trying to replicate our wedding cake, which was pumpkin spice cake with praline cream filling and butter cream frosting) before DH gets home from his trip to Dallas. I will attempt to hide the cake in the refrigerator. . . not gonna work b/c he'll open it and be all like:

Tomorrow we are planning to have a day trip to celebrate our anniversary. I've been working a ton on the weekeneds, so it'll be nice to get away and spend some quality time together. We're going to Starved Rock State Park (about 100 miles from here) to go for a hike. After that we're planning on going to an apple orchard to pick apples. We'll head home around 5 and then probably chill on the couch. This is apparently a view in this park. 

Sunday I will need to get to work early and do some stuff before football starts. I SOOOO  need a win for my fantasy team - this will require a good week from my QB and future lover, Aaron Rodgers (as well as a lot of Chargers players. . . ugh).

Ugh - this weekend is the busy end to a busy week.  Tonight we have a housewarming party to go (hopefully we don't stay long).

Tomorrow getting my hair done, meeting with a reverend, and then going to a Whirlyball birthday party in the evening.

Sunday - NOTHING besides the Bears.  Thank God.  After all the craziness this week I need a day to nap!!

Ugh. This weekend is for sleep. BF fully clogged the dryer exhaust line with lint and water last night, so he was up until 7 a.m. fixing that and we're both pretty zombified right now. Plus we have to rewash all the clothing that was in the dryer because it smells really strongly of burned dryer lint. Plus I have a metric shit-ton (a unit of measure, go look it up) of laundry to do myself. Plus I had to rip out all the Fair Isle knitting I did last night because my gauge was all wrong and the stitches looked funny.

Is it wrong of me to just want to go to Monday? No fun up here for a while ...

Tonight I am having a drink with some folks after work who i don't know well but one of the other girls begged me to go with.

 Tomorrow will involve yoga and then possibly a beer festival downtown.  I hope it doesn't rain.

 

 

Sunday we are having Sunday Funday starting out at the pumpkin patch and then we'll be watching my niners pay later on.
