Good Morning

Re: Good Morning

• I love fried pickles.

That sounded dirty.
• Good morning all!
All this chicken talk makes me want some chicken, but I haven't had breakfast yet so that might not be a good idea.

• Good morning all. Crazy morning here since I had to stay at my parents last night after my power went out. Tory was determined to take a morning swim this morning in their pool which made the getting ready process a little more irritating. The only CFA in mn is on my alum college campus in the student center. So it's kinda out of the way to anyone else unless you are willing to pay to park and go eat in a cafeteria. I've never eaten it because i don't like chicken much, and I have always been turned off by their overtly anti gay message. Which I knew about since like 2005 so I don't get why it's suddenly news.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Good Morning : We have a restaurant here called Cowfish (it's a sushi/burger bar and it's phenomenal) that has THE best fried pickles I've ever eaten. And the aioli that they pair it with is unreal. And now I want Cowfish.

I am seriously salivating at the thought. Fried pickles are SO GOOD!

I'm with you Cfas. I've had it a couple of times, and it was ok, I guess? But definitely not great.

• I love Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich, but I hate their fries.
• Has anyone ever dealt with Mattress Firm? They're starting to piss me off. They've gotten my order wrong twice and it's been a day. I know we're not getting the mac daddy of mattresses, but FFS how hard is it to get the right thing on order?

• Trashy - I was on BCP for 10 years too, and if I tried to only chart temps, I would have been pregnant right away. It will take quite some time for your cycles to get some sort of normal rhythm. My temps until this month went up and down like a freaking roller coaster, but I was able to track the other signs easily.

Download Fertility Friend app on your phone or something. It's a good charting tool. I like charting the other signs, because you really get to know your body well. It is a pretty obvious thing as the signs are quite simple.

• So question for anyone here who is trying to balance school and work (or has previously, or hell, just has a professional opinion):

I have the option to take a class in the fall that I feel will really help me with my career options (it's historical writing, which is something I really, really want to do). It's only offered from 12:15 - 1:30, Tuesday and Thursday. My work hours are 8 AM - 3 PM, M-F. I do not have a lunch hour (or break), so my leaving the office for what will amount to two hours (if you include commuting time) is a big deal. My former boss didn't have a problem with me moving my schedule around my classes...but I've never tried it with this boss, because I've always taken night classes.

Do you think I should pitch this as a "office closed for two hours during lunch time" kind of thing? 12 PM - 2 PM is pretty much dead around here anyway (Boss isn't even here on Tuesdays). Or should I just give up? I've never asked something like this so I'm kind of torn.

• Bay, I say ask. It never hurts to ask and it sounds like you really want to take the class. Do it!
• Bay, I would at least try to get it approved. You never know until you try, right?

• I would kill for some fried pickles from Hooters right now.

Bay, I say it can't hurt to ask. All he can do is say no. I assume he knows you're in school now and that this isn't your forever job?

[QUOTE]A - you and me both! One of these days I'm going to start a blog with all the recreated pinterest outfits I've tried. Habs - H and I eat at CFA. We think it's good. They also have awesome customer service. It sucks that this controversy is even an issue. Who would've thought chicken would be a key piece of the gay marriage debate.

Morning Ladies! Still working through this thread, this is as far as I've gotten.

Rach-this would be the best blog idea in the history of ever. I have a ton of outfit ideas pinned but i am too lazy to try to recreate them so I would love to see your efforts

Eags-Squee! The big day is getting close and I'm so excited for you! Sorry your family is being difficult; I had this weird calm come over me the days leading up to the wedding and I just couldn't bring myself to get worked up about anything. One of my friends kept asking me questions and if I didn't know the answer, I just shrugged and it drove her nuts. She expected me to have every detail down and I figured that if I had the majority of it worked out, the rest would fall into place and I wasn't going to worry about it two days before the wedding. Granted, my parents didn't end up coming to the wedding so it may have been a whole different story of my mom had been the one bugging me.

Bay- I think you should ask. If that was a busy time in the office, then that would be a different story but it sounds like you could make a case that it is not. And you could maybe offer to extend your working hours to make up for it? I really don't think it would hurt to ask, the worst he could do is say no.

• Thanks for the input!

I did ask. He's not thrilled about it, but he says he needs a week or so to think about it. Argh. Oh well. At least I asked, right?

[QUOTE]I only like Zaxbys boneless wings. I hate their chicken tenders. I had Wendy's Spicy chicken sandwich yesterday. Yummy. I like their new fries, but I also hate McD's fries which people seem to love. I'm an odd ball.

There is a CFA and a Wendy's right across the street from my work and all I can think about are chicken mini biscuits and spicy chicken sandwiches. And I'm a flipping vegetarian so I should be craving neither of these things.

Unfortunately, no. It's not technically a graduate course, so it's in-classroom. But it's a technical course on historical writing and publication.

Good idea. When I was having trouble fitting classes in with my work schedule, a friend of mine suggested this. Apparently, she would email the professor of the class before the semester, let them know she was very interested in taking the class but was also working full time and could she take the class via online or correspondence. She said several professors were willing to this since it was mostly writing anyway.

• Glad you asked Bay, he needs to find a way to work with you.
• I love french fries! I get sad when you pull away from the drive through and get into your bag and the fries are old or cold. Not a happy girl at that moment.

• Morning! I have no idea why, but this french fry talk is actually making me want the hasbrowns from DD. We finally got one here a few weeks ago!
• Cashews, that gif represents my soul at the moment.

Bay, I think it's worth a try to email the prof first, to see if he'd be willing to work with you on doing it as a correspondence course and if that doesn't fly, then I'd definitely talk to the boss!

[QUOTE]Calix - I've been toying with that idea for awhile. I used to blog all the time about nothing so I think a fashiony/makeup/all things girly kind of blog would be fun. Maybe one day.

• This was a good alternative to paying attention at work this morning!

I am excited to see weddings falling in to place, it is nice to know this journey finally gets there (Congrats Eagles!)

I need a mani/pedi, but won't have time for afew more weeks. I am living vicariously through those of you enjoying

I also enjoyed classes, and remember the accomplishment wrapping them up - and anticipation (or annoyance) at enrollment - definately push to take that class ~~

I don't eat at CFA. I don't care for them. Someone else posted they like their waffle fries but who goes for just fries - that's pretty much where I am at. KFC is too greasy for my :( even though I have chicken at home a few nights a week.

I made tacos Tuesday night, but right now I would prefer restaurant style Mexican cooking and a marguarita. Is it too early for a marguarita?
~~Mendi~~ ...Everyone has their price; mine's chocolate Photobucket
• Bay - Maybe you can do as others have suggested and e-mail the prof and see if he can work with you. Maybe even doing one day by correspondence and only taking that two hour break the other day?

• I <3 that movie. I had such a crush on David Bowie when I was younger.
