Wedding Woes

So I must be crazy...

Hi all...I usually lurk and sometimes post but just need to vent...

Just listed my house with my ex husband. Bittersweet as I grew up here but it's for the better and I will be able to find something that is going to work in the new chapter of my life and be better for my boys. I'm confident in my decision it just stings right now.

So I'm planning a wedding, selling a house and moving...yea mildly insane...

Hope everyone's planning is going well and have a great weekend!

We planned a wedding while both changing jobs, so I hear you about lots of change at once.

It's a little scary cause sad as it sounds I've never done any of this before... I'm glad that I'm not alone in the MAJOR changes cause I kinda feel it right now lol

I changed jobs while planning our wedding. I don't remember that phasing me. However, I did go from a job I hated to a job I loved.

I'm trying to look at it as going from a house that doesn't fit me anymore to something I love...I love this place but my marriage was bad bad bad so I'm trying to put the positive on it... That's great you found something you love! I'm hoping for the same lol

I think I just kinda lost my mind in general during that time.  I bought a car, too, so maybe too much money spent at once was addling my brain.  I even tried to make my own wedding dress to cut costs, regardless of the fact that I don't actually sew.

Yea I feel like my mind is slowing slipping away... My "Martha stewart" stepmom has much more faith in my DIY skills than she should...she has grandiose visions involving hot glue guns and flowers...I'm a little frightened lol

No one had any faith in my DIY skills at all, but I just kept saying "but look how much CHEAPER it is!" with wild, crazy eyes.

She's wonderful and amazing and has been incredible but I CANNOT arrange flowers lol...my wedding planner book is called the anti-bride wedding planner but she believes that we can arrange and satin wrap and bejewel and all that...bless her silly little heart and glue gun haha

i bought a house, sold a house, did a buttload of repairs to old house, arranged a cross country move, drove almost 1600 mies for the move, took a bunch of business trips, helped DK look for a job in our new city, all while pregnant.

with all of the changes and stress, you just need to find ways to relax, stay organized, and not stress the small things.

Well, I have since left that job I loved because right after getting married we moved to another state, I started another job, then H graduated, he can't find fulltime work, we found out we can't have kids and my mom has stage 3 cancer.
