This is the dress itself. I really liked it, and I don't even like dresses.

The stick was made my my great-uncle, a Cherokee elder. It has our cherokke names, Little Butterfly (me) and Earth Keeper (H) carved on it, along with a Cherokee prayer and animal figures. My uncle doesn't really think out the designs, he goes with the knots in the wood and lets "nature do the art." It's a long process, takes about 32-40 hours total for one stick.

during the ceremony, he blessed the site with sage, said a prayer in Cherokee then in English, then tied our hands together with a red cloth while we held tobacco. then we were wrapped in a wedding blanket by our moms, and our my grandma and H's dad tied it in a knot. Then another prayer was said. It's done in Cherokee weddins to symbolize the union and the blanket is taken off without untying it. We then slip back into to each anniversary. It only comes untied if we were to divorce. Below are some pics from the ceremony:

The WP and family circled us, then hugged us and wished us well. This was the BM being goofy

There's an amazing little coffee shop here called "Greener Groundz" I sold one there. The "Live Life Green" chair is the one I made for them to keep in th shop.

My family keeps claiming them before I can sell them, my little venture has proven to be unprofitable.

Yay Kim! I hate it when he works overnights. Katie is all disturbed by it too. She keeps pacing in front of the door and not understanding where he is.
