Fourth Anniversary 100 Comments 25 Love Its Name Dropper

If money was not an object, where would you want to travel tomorrow?  Why?
Like everyone else I would really love to travel to Italy. FI has been before, but I have never gone.

How many children do you hope to have?
I am thinking 3, but we will see what happens.

What's something you hope to accomplish by your next "milestone" birthday (I usually consider these the multiples of 5 -- 30, 35, etc... even 25 for some of you!)?  Next milestone is 30 (just turned 25 in April), so by then I hope to have a PhD, have a job, move out of Maryland, have a house and a baby! Lots of big changes.

If you had to permanently MOVE somewhere, where would it be?
Not sure where I would move. We definitely don't plan to stay in this area forever and want to move when I am done with grad school. Neither FI or I really like the east coast or the DC area as much as we thought we would. We have talked about moving back to Kansas (would LOVE to retire in our college town!)
, or moving south to North Carolina which would be close to my parents. I know FI's family would also love for us to move to St. Louis. But it really is going to depend on where I can find a job.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Tuesday questions?? Random convo?? : I've heard though that lots of doctors won't perform more than two or three c-sections because scar tissue just builds up.  BUT natural birth after a c-section is supposed to be a lot harder.  I don't know.  I just remember a friend of mine being really angry at her doctor (to the point that I think she switched) because he told her she wasn't going to be able to have any more c-sections after her second child was born.

I'm planning a VBAC right now, and from all the research I've done, it's not that it's ACTUALLY any harder, just that a lot of doctors give you crap about it or won't do them, for reasons that are not necessarily scientifically sound. VBAC is equally as safe as RCS for the baby, and much safer for the mom. It's "harder" in the sense that finding a provider who is willing can be difficult. But, the issue with multiple c/s that you cite is the #1 reason I am planning for a VBAC...risks go up & up & up with each c/s, down & down & down with each VBAC....

which brings me to my answer to question #2--we want a big family! Ultimately we'll take it one at a time & see what God has planned for us, but if I had to say I I think I'd want 6-8 kids. DH would probably say 10-12, lol.

As far as travel--gosh, we'd like to go anywhere, basically. Rome is definitely up there for us too.

And I just passed 25, so by 30? I guess I hope we'll have 1 or 2 more kids in addition to this currently-baking one and our saint in Heaven, so a total of 3-4, hope to have bought a house, and maybe to have done some of that traveling :) And I guess we will have to have made a decision re: schooling, since this baby will be 5!

So, those were out of order (and I'm late all around since this is Tuesday's thread, whoops) but just adding to the healthy-babies-of-older-moms discussion--I was born when my mom was 41 with no issues
