Hey mica. You had a hat for the Kentucky derby right? If you don't mind me asking, where'd you get it? My family does a big shindig every year, and we're doing silly hats, so I wanted to try and find something over the top Derbyish but have no idea where to even start. Not that yours was ridiculous, but Like I said, don't know where to start :P

Hmm. Closest one is 40 minutes away, but I'll be going up there next weekend...I'll have to check it out.

Reasonably priced too!
I need to not go to etsy right now. I have no money for shopping. And even if I had the money, I don't have enough room in my suitcases for anymore stuff.
Hey! Too late to join the party? I just got back from getting drinks with co-workers we'd never spent time with outside of work before. It was a blast. I'm a little bit wine-tipsy and not even remotely ready for bed yet.
I am such a baby when I wear heels, since I almost never wear them. My stepmom wanted me to wear open-toed heels for their wedding last weekend, and of course I'm a moron so I didn't break them in. I was out of those shoes every chance I got and couldn't stop whining about my poor feet to save my life, to anyone who would listen.
Hello. Sassy just climbed up underneath her chair, so had to get FI to come downstairs so he could coax her out. She won't com out for me. Lizzie, three martinies are better than none!
SNAIL!!!! I haven't seen you around in forever. How have you been?
Mica - once I get settled in England, I think H is going to quickly get tired of "Honey, come look at what I found on Etsy!" and the ensuing explaination of why we MUST have it.
Hi Poke! I've been hiding... and by hiding I mean making up for lost time with FI. The last two-ish weeks have been awesome. How are things going for getting yourself set up to go to England? Is your visa process moving along?
I'm so glad he's gotten his ish together Snail. I love happy endings (giggity).
Right now I've finished the online application for my visa and we are gathering the documents we need to send in. We can't submit the application until we pay the fee which we will probably be able to do by next Friday.
Evening ladies! Just got home from an uneventful night.
I agree Mica, etsy is heaven sent but it's also very dangerous, I end up buying so much stuff i never intended on buying. I have no complaints on there tho, everything I bought has looked just as good as it did in the picture.
I need pew decorations and saw some one etsy that I bookmarked.
My dress is a DB dress, which is rather plain but beautiful. I want to add a sash in a very light silver and do the bird cage. Jewlery? Well I have no clue. Maybe some spectacular earings and bracelet? The reception venue is named Nouveau Antique Art Bar...Tiffany Lamps, Art Nouveau everywhere. I don't want to have a "theme" but I do want to add some Art Nouveau touches.
Glad to hear it sounds like you are making progress, Poke. I will admit I know bags full of nothing about the process, but I can imagine it would be intimidating and complicated with a drizzle of sucky on top, since you guys are separated. Can't remember from the last time we talked, do you know a rough estimate on when you would be leaving, more or less? Or is it still very much up in the air at this point?
