Okay...need to vent!!!
My original wedding date was July 11, 2011. I had all my vendors lined up. Paid ALL my deposits.
Well...due to grandmother/mother surgeries, stepfather's chemo, moving, stress, I have had to move my wedding back to either November or December. The only dates of the hotel were on Fridays or Sundays in November and Christmas Eve. I know my and my fiance's families are out of town and church goers so the Sundays are out. So I picked November 11, 2011 (11-11-11).
I sent out an email, after tentively confirming with ceremony/reception vendor, asking all the vendors if this date was available, if so are there any additional fees and could I get updated contract. All vendors said yes except for Cake. I have paid half down and after 2 weeks she has gone on and on about having another event after, that she doens't like setting up and leaving her stuff, it would be tight. Then started saying that I am supposed to have booked a new date if ALL my vendors could accomodate. That it is not done to just give a date and ask if available. How else do you do it? I guess that is what pisses me off. I don't have a problem canceling and losing deposit but if she could just do the grooms cake and centerpiece cakes I would feel like not losing out. But she is giving me such a headache that I want to just say forget it. Sorry so long...just had to scream!!!
