Re: Anyone around?

  • I love kettle corn.  And chocolate covered potato chips.  That is a delicious combination of sweet and salty.

  • LOL.  I'm going the wrong way in the contest.  It was just a bad week, I hope.  I feel more toned though, the scale just didn't cooperate :).

And if I have a whole bag of kisses, I usually grab 4 or 5 out at a time.
  • You just might bc I have been doing a horrible job. I am working out every day for the next 2 wks I am off in the am and then getting on with my day. Gotta lose at least 5 lbs.
  • Have you ever had chocolate covered bacon?  That was surprisingly good.

And I love chocolate covered pretzels.

Never heard or even thought about those before. I do love chocolate covered pretzels.
  • Sheesh...I leave for a couple hours to eat dinner and play some Kinect sports and I miss 7 pages of stuff!

I LOVE sweet and salty together.  I've been known to pour a bag of M&Ms into a bag of popcorn. yum!

Have you tried the pretzel M&Ms?  HEAVEN

  • I haven't tried the pretzel M&M's yet.  I will soon.

How was dinner Shortee? We are here late tonight.
  • It was as good as a Smart Ones pizza could be. Haha.  I was craving pizza and since J and I are trying to eat better (key word: trying) we decided it better to not order delivery.

They sure are. I used them last week in a holiday chex mix thing I made for our church youth group. I think I ate about a quarter of the bag when I was making it.

And chocolate covered bacon, I dunno about that one.
  • missySue I think I missed you in the FB update of 2010.  Can you PM me your email?  Or I'm on dnbs list under S

  • Yeah they have them in this small chocolate shop at home.  Maybe I need to mail some to everyone in the competition to help me win!

I have never had chocolate covered bacon.  It sounds gross, but I can understand it being good.  There is this famous donut shop in Portland called VooDoo Donuts, and they have one called a maple bacon donut.  It is maple flavored frosting and 2 pieces of bacon across the top.  It looks and sounds so disgusting, but it is amazingly delicious.  It tastes like french toast and bacon.

I just sent you a PM.
  • I've heard a lot about chocolate covered bacon.  I don't eat bacon, though so I have not tried it.

  • There's a restaurant we go to sometimes that has chicken and waffles as an appetizer.  Belgian waffle, breaded airline chicken breast, syrup, hot sauce.  Sounds gross - SO GOOD!
  • Yeah, I am not so sure about the bacon and chocolate combo. I just keep thinking how the grease would harden and then the chocolate over that. It would probably be very rich if I could even bring myself to take a bite.
  • I haven't had time to FB stalk my new friends yet.  FB is blocked at work or it would be done already :).

That's a BIG dish in the AA culture.  It started in the early 1920's down south with the AA Musicians.

  • There's a place out here called Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.  It's pretty much fried chicken and waffles.  I haven't been to it yet, but I've heard that it's good.

  • The chocolate covered bacon I had was more like a peppermint bark - as in - less bacon, more chocolate.  But the bacon added a nice amount of salty to the chocolate.  I liked enough that I will try it again, but not so much I am going to go out searching for it.
  • My ticker just changed...I can't believe we have been married 6 months already!
  • Shortee where do you live now?  I'm sure you've said it before.

Maybe i should just stop posting after this one and stay at 6000 forever.

<div>I didn't know where or when it started, but I knew it came from the AA culture.  Which is why you wouldn't necessarily expect to find it at this restaurant in the trendy/foodie/artsy part of town.  </div>

  • Thanks! Gosh, time really does fly.
  • I think I really need to go to bed now considering it is 3am, but I was waiting for dnb to turn gold. I remember how excited I was when I got gold....lol.
  • Yay Gold!

Yeah Missy we will be married for 5 months at the end of the month and I can't believe it.  It still seems like the wedding was only a few weeks ago.
