I confess I haven't been on all week and I missed you biotches! So happy to see Bec is back. I am having wine for dinner while my cake balls bake.

I confess I got a cold sore yesterday and apparently I'm really that shallow because it's ruining my week/weekend, I'm so self conscious (sp?) about it.

I confess I will be drinking mimosas and eating delicious fatty tailgate food at 9:30am tomorrow.

  • lol, not at all!  I used to know which ones were which, but I have forgotten since college.  It is hauntingly beautiful.

  • Confession - I'm annoyed that H is out having a guy's night tonight. I always tell him to go out and do stuff, I'm just annoyed that it's happening tonight and that he's doing it 3 hours away. I'm pooped from work and really want to just curl up on the couch and take a nap, but need to stay awake if/when he calls to say he needs me to come pick him up (at which point I will be livid) or that he's staying at his bil's house tonight. Blah.
  • Hi Katie!

You reminded me of a few:
I can't stand one of H's good friends. I've tried and tried, but oh my gosh I want to kick him in the balls.

I also have a hard time sleeping without H. Every little noise freaks me out when I'm home alone.

  • I confess that I have no interest in going to the gym tomorrow and the last time I went was Tuesday (or Monday? I only went once this week so far!)...and I ate like crap today (and for the last two weeks).

I don't feel like cleaning the house tomorrow.

I don't feel like starting to teach on Tuesday either. I am worried I hate my job.
  • Hi lovely :)

I trust Scott, but bil can act like a stupid 20 year old a lot of times. They are at Dave and Busters so the potential to get drunk and blow a lot of cash is very high. Last time they were together they decided to buy motorcycles, which we're still paying off 3 years later. That and he has my wedding band set, so I'm paranoid he's going to lose them.
  • Bought motorcycles? I would freaking kill him.

Did annoying co-worker get a different job?
    image
  • They bought them before me, so I can't be too mad, but still. I cringe every time they go out together because of the past. Sometimes Scott forgets that we don't have the income they do (and bil forgets the income they have isn't as much as he wants/thinks)

Ugh, so far no. She did have an interview to transfer to a different school though so we're still crossing our fingers.

  • I confess that I'm now downing a cherry coke float even though I ate all that mac n' cheese and have been complaining about feeling flabby.

I did however clean the house. We've had a lot of bugs lately (just that time of year, I assure you I keep my house very clean) and it was skeeving me out so I did an uber thorough vacuum.

I LOVE your sig. Your dress looks absolutely stunning.
  • I confess that I have no real interest in going out for my good friend's birthday tomorrow, primarily because she was bitchtastic when I got engaged.  She's got amazing qualities and I do love her, but she was such a cuntface that I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to celebrate her (even though the engagement shiit happened months ago).

I also confess that after meeting my kids, I think they're so awesome and I'm really excited.  This makes me feel guilty, because I lucked out this year and my friends have a lot of behavioral issues, etc in their classes.
  • Ok, now I confess that I am going to throttle him when he gets home. I just checked out bank account and he has spent $300 so far tonight. I'm considering texting him and saying "dude, you just spent half of our Christmas budget, slow thefuck down"

  • We got mcD's coupons in the mail recently. I can get a chicken mc nug meal for 5$. Its taking SO much effort to not drive over there. I have to admit I started drinking early tonight to make it so I couldnt drive there to get dinner.
  • Jas- I seriously love that you had a dream about kendra from TGND. I wouldn't even think you'd watch that. Love it.

Katie- That sucks. T went out with his buddy a while back and I had to go get him at 2 am (I knew I would have to since he didn't drive over there and that was fine). I tried to stay up but I fell asleep and the worst part is he was in downtown mill which is where ALL the college kids hang out so the streets we're filled with all these dressed up kids and I'm driving around looking like a hot mess. Plus they all walk out in the street in front of you.

Ugh, that sucks.  That's the issue of living in a warmer climate.  The first time I visited my friends in Florida and saw the crazy bugs they have, I was so disgusted.  But then I realized they genuinely couldn't help it--the bugs just infiltrate no matter how clean you are.  Dead bugs is the only thing I like about Northeastern winters.
  • I've never been to a Dave and Busters, but I can't imagine how you spend $300. Kick his butt Katie. Kick it hard.

Roxy- She was dressed in a Marie Antionette (sp?) costume. It was pretty fantastic.

  • Luckily they're just little bugs like the little centipedes in the bathroom then by the front door these little stinkbug looking things. I'm used to an occasional centipede in the bathroom but I found 2 dead bugs in there yesterday and one in the living room.

We have free pest control on tuesdays and they came by about 3 weeks ago so now the bugs we get are typically dead but ick! I need to have them come spray again. I'd have them spray weekly but its a pain with the dog.
  • I know he wants to have fun with bil but damn, does he have to use all of our spending money to do it? Make bil pay for shiit. He's the one making triple digits. I think I'm mostly pissed because we talked about this yesterday, and how we need to really watch our budget in the next few months.
  • Jas- That is awesome. I love dreams
  • I confess that I look like freaking Rudolph right now, but I refuse not to go out. I never do, and damn it I'm going. Bar light is forgiving right?

    Definitely :)
  • Bar light is totally forgiving :)
  • Man, on top of it my paycheck just deposited. With the furlough days taken out of it. Is curling up in fetal position in the corner still appropriate for 26 year olds?
  • Jas--I love that you had a dream about Kendra.  And, strangely, I can totally see her dressed like Marie Antionette.  Although, she'd probably have exposed nipples or something.

Katie--That sucks.  FI has a friend that he's like that with.  He just goes wild and thinks later.  It pisses me off because he's so not like that usually.  I'm actually more impulsive that he is.

Roxy--Understandable.  I wouldn't want pesticides all over with the dog either.
  • Definitely appropriate Katie. Your bil sounds like a bad influence. H has a few friends like that, and I secretly dread when they hang out.
    image
  • I'm tempted to text him and go "So my new pay rate is $100 less per month, sucks" as a not so subtle hint to stop spending money. I don't want to be "that" wife though.
  • I really don't think you're being "that" wife Katie. H and I have money rules, and I've learned I need to say "no" sometimes if we can't afford it. It affects you both.

  • Pas- The had that theme party on one of the episodes. Cute costumes, but methinks Marie was a bit more modest.
