Wedding Woes

laundry things

i really don't ever want to buy a house because then i would be denied the pleasure of being able to do 6 loads of laundry at once.

some dude in the bulding uses a fast fold.
http://www.flipfold.com
he is very, very precise about it.  i asked him if it makes him feel like he works at, and then lives in, a gap store, and he said " ... no."  but now he does!  yay for ruining that dude's life!

i did a load of baby mo's clothes, and popped them into the dryer just as someone was taking their clothes out.  this morning, i found a thong with baby mo's bibs.  it was very stringy and it even had jewels on it.  i put it in dh's briefcase.

The only good thing about the laundromat is people watching.  But when you have a washer dryer in the house (especially on the main level, not down in a dark, creepy basement), you can do a load every day and fold while you watch Hoarders.  It just doesn't get any better than that.

LOVE that you put the thong in your H's briefcase.  I would love to be a fly on the wall.

And now I want a flipnfold.

LMAO @ putting the thong in your DH's briefcase.

My parents got us a washer for Christmas.  I already had a dryer from a friend who flips houses & the person they bought a place from left theirs there; it's old but works just fine.  I just love how I don't have to spend an entire afternoon @ my parents' to do laundry anymore (we had an arrangement: I bought the detergent & could do laundry for free) & can throw in a load whenever...or not.

I hate the laundromat. It makes me want to stab people. But mostly because of the people like Hmo who use 15 washers and dryers at a time. I try to get my stuff into no more than 2. More often than not, I'll throw everything into 1 dryer and put it on for more time.

How in the hell do you get 6 loads to the machines at one time?  You know I'm a one-trip person and I cannot figure out how you do this.  Wheelbarrow?

We considered a 2nd machine...if we had room for a 2nd hook up, we'd have taken the freebie we were offered.  But we don't.

My boss has a flip-fold that we use here for our event shirts.  It helps those of us who are folding challenged.

i also pile some dirty clothes on top and throw a towel over the top to make sure it doesn't fall off on the trip.

i normally line dry at least one or two loads, and then the remaining four loads fit back into the hamper.

tt -- you snooze, you lose.  one of the benefits of having a kid who gets you up at 6:30 every morning is that the laundry room is empty that early on sundays.  all you hungover party people, haters to the left!

last night, i watched some woman cut in line of two other people waiting for washers.  neither of them said anything!  y'all, i had already been waiting for 10 minutes and i GOT my washer.  if someone had cut in front of me, i would have pulled her damn weave off.

Hmo, I'm in the same boat as you and I'm like the 3rd person to the laundromat. Last week, some lady had 2 each in 8 washers.

right -- and when she is done, you take over all 8 washers.

i'd say let your husband deal with the waiting, but we all know that's not the smrt thing to do.

I have always wanted a flip fold! I'm jealous.

I have been wanting that laundry basket forever, hmo. I am jealous. I hated the laundrymat, but it was nice for the reasons hmo stated. No matter when I went, there was always someone there drinking a tall boy - and it wasn't me.

sMil can achieve flip 'n fold quality sans flip n fold.  I love when she folded my clothes.
