MC reminds me of this guy who was my manager when I was bartending. He was so ridiculously over the top excited about EVERYTHING that he made me nervous being in the same room with me, even if he wasn't speaking. I feel like that when I'm in a thread with MC.

I was tested in 7th grade, I think.

I've taken the Mensa test.

I've done the online ones (non-FB ones) that give you a number, but not paid for one. They've all been fairly consistent, but I'm sure they're not reliable.

Beats, wanna test me long-distance? Wait - you're not grad school anymore.

Now I must go find this MISSCOURTNEY thread...

I haven't had my IQ tested. I would be curious to know the results. I'm with TR though, I feel like I think I'm smarter than I am, so the results could be disappointing.

I was so surprised she actually left E and went to a different board. It took A LOT to get that much.

I'm here trying to keep my sanity at work. They just basically told us we all suck and no, that's not up for discussion. Then our manager yelled at the one girl who tried to speak up. I seriously feel like my spirit is dying sometimes.

I had an IQ test when I was in elementary school but they never told me the results. Or if they did, I don't remember, which probably doesn't say much for my smarts.

there hasn't been a lot going on lately, really. I had an IQ test in Kindergarten and again in 5th grade as part of the testing for gifted classes, but I couldn't tell you what it is. Apparently I am gifted, but my memory is shiit.

Honestly, and maybe this is just a pipe dream on my part, I think it will be (and not just medicinal, just across the board legal) in the next 50 years. People have got to take their heads out of the sand about it, really. I remember being taught that there was no difference in pot and say, cocaine. They were all drugs and drugs are bad, mmmmkay? And that's just a ridiculous way to educate children about it. It's completely inaccurate.

Yeah I realized that when I posted it. I didn't mean for it to be that way. I didn't want to know anyone's score, just if they'd been tested at all. I know all of you are pretty intelligent, for the most part :)

I'll admit, I thought it was excessive, and said so. But I'd say that about anyone because it's more a personal thing, I don't like seeing pages and pages of name-calling, especially when someone isn't trying to be a troll but had a bad lack of judgment (I know, I know--don't like it, don't read it, right?). However, that was also before I knew everything about the OP so I did jump in without learning the whole truth.

Regardless, I honestly don't think she cares. Meaning, you can tell her over and over again that she will get fired, she is a bad teacher, etc, but it won't change anything. I think she's perfectly happy being who she is. So bringing up the knotting at work and whatever else she's said in the past is redundant, it won't change how she thinks.
