In Response to Re: CAB : He tells me, he can't tell me where his station is until we are married, and he disappers  kinda alot for themilitary, and half the time, he tells mehe can't say where he goes.  I knw that would raise red flags for most people, but my dad(step-dad really but I think of himas my dad) has a high up govement job and I grew up with him leaving and not being able to tell us. So, I'm used I have to the saying " I have leave for my job, but can't tell you anything."

Definitely, we're all about OPSEC here. But it seems odd that he doesn't share basic information with you about his active or reservist status. Does that make sense?

    Posted by Danidawn20
<div>UH if he is reserves, or AD, or whatever, He can certainly tell you where he is stationed. He might not tell you specifics of his job, but I'm pretty sure he can tell you his duty station. What does he say his MOS is? Or whatever the terminology is for army, national guard, etc.

It does make sense.  That it is odd. As I said, I will talk with him, and try to get everything cleared up.

I have never ever heard of someone not being able to say where their duty station is. It's not really a top-secret subject.

  • Let us know! a lot of the stuff you're saying he's saying doesn't make sense.

I do want to say that at the moment people can just get out and leave before their contract is up, in a lot of branches. People are also being involuntarily separated for things like multiple failures of a PFT, although if that's the case, you should know that. And I have friends who are CI, Recon, etc. I still know where they're stationed even if I don't know always what they're doing when they're gone.
