Re: Good Morning.

  • Happy Easter, Blue!

We ended up having a house guest this weekend afterall.  We're headed out for brunch in a few minutes then to the farmers market.

I finally planted what I have for my garden yesterday, I have so much more space than I had plants, it's awesome.
  • Thanks! I love farmers markets. I cant wait till the start back up around here.

  • Good morning. Blue are you running a marathon? I've been up all night with the storms here. So far we have been very fortunate that the worst has missed us and my family. H is working this afternoon so I plan to work on the paintings for the bedroom and then the curtains for my office. I should clean but that doesn't sound as fun.

  • We're going to the farmer's market in a few minutes. I'm worried it will be packed because we usually try to go earlier than this.

I have a fun filled day of meal planning, grocery shopping, errand running and laundry ahead. I don't mind though because I did absolutely nothing yesterday.

  • Good morning! We will be grocery shopping today and that will probably be the highlight of our day. Yesterday I painted our front door red and changed the hardware to a black set (no pics cause I'm on my iPad). I LOVE it but I'm sore so a day of relaxation will be nice. Have a great Sunday, ladies!

  • Good morning, ladies!

Today, we are moving the old living room set to the garage so that I can arrange the new set. The old set is being donated to Purple Heart.

I am also baking a ham, which I got on sale last weekend.

FI is getting ready to make egg and potato omlets and my kids are still asleep. No wonder the house is so quiet!

Is anyone going to go see The 5 Year Engagement?  It looks cute.

  • Morning ladies!  I'm just hanging out watching tv with H and the pups. I'm researching carseats and stuff online, but it's super overwhelming.

Usual Sunday- I need to do laundry, meal plan, grocery shop, and clean.
  • Good morning! Blue it is supposed tone crazy warm here too, it's blowing my mind! Shay, I love red doors, I bet it looks great! My parents were here for a few days and just left. It was fun to have them. We saw Death of a Salesman and Peter and the Starcatcher. Both were fantastic! Billy Crystal sat right in front of us at Peter. My Mom was very excited. Today is walking in Central Park with H. All the cherry trees are blooming and I want to get come good pictures to hang in our apartment. Since I can't paint any doors, I get my home project fix through hanging things :-)

I hope everyone is okay! I always get worried for marathons in extreme heat! I'm sure they weren't expecting 88 in Boston in April! It's nuts!

  • Your doctor is open on Sunday, Blue?  Cool!

I'm off to brunch then working on a presentation for tomorrow.  Fun times!
  • Good morning, ladies.

That's insanely hot for a marathon, Blue.  I hope no one is seriously affected by it.  We got a little snow overnight, but it's going to be in the 50s today.  Not bad.

I'm trying to plan a raised planter bed around our new patio, but I haven't found anything that really works for our budget.  I want it to wrap around the patio in two L-shapes (there's a walkway to a pad out from the center where we have a fire pit), and be high enough to sit on.  I would go with something modular if it wasn't too expensive.  I may end up just doing cinder blocks with a topper.  I don't mind doing the work, I just wish someone would plan it for me.

  • Red doors are the best, Shay.  Mine is green, a big improvement over the ugly two-tone tan and brown the previous owner painted.

  • Good morning!

I'm going to try to sew a few more diaper clutches today but it may not happen since Bug is being super clingy. She popped two teeth last week and they are bugging her. She's also getting super frustrated because she can only stand on her own for 5 seconds without falling and wants to do it without help.

Steph, carseat shopping was the worst. I got the Graco Snugride 30 for DD, then the Graco MyRide 65 when she hit 8 months. I highly recommend an infant/bucket seat when they are newborn.
  • Kd I love yellow doors!  But yellow would have look terrible with our house color and I don't think I could've convinced H that we needed to paint the whole house for a yellow door ha ha.

    Here some pics
    Before with black door

4 coats in with the red

After with the red (it looks a little orangey because it's a phone pick but it's really red)

I love the contrast with the black handle.

<div>Thanks for asking! For the most part yes. My chest hurts when I walk around a lot though, I assume the muscles are just still sore. The doc I was on the trip with is going to contact a colleague tomorrow and try to get me in asap. I'm still scared of food to the point that I have been eating under 1000 calories the last few days, which I know isn't good.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm working on a meal plan for the week. I just got back from the farmer's market with a huge thing of spinach, purple potatoes, and asparagus. I'm starting to feel more optimistic about eating. </div>

  • Morning!

Everything was awesome last night. I'm kind of shocked that nothing went wrong at all; a few minor hitches, but as weddings go, it was pretty much as good as you can get. Everyone told me how great the food was, how lovely the centerpieces were, etc. so I could not have been happier. Plus, it didn't even end up storming, just overcast and windy, which while incredibly awkward, got us a couple cute pictures which I should have within the week!
  • Yay, Any!  Congrats, lady! Can't wait to see pics
