Grooms Cakes?

Who here is doing a grooms cake? Any ideas what you're doing or when you're going to let him in on it? Is it a surprise?

I'm trying to figure out what things I can do to surprise FI the day of the wedding...
We're both HUGE hockey fans, myself for the Ottawa Senators and him for our biggest rival the Toronto Maple Leafs. I told him I was doing our wedding black/white/red because it was Senators colours and although it was a running joke for a long time he knows that's not actually the case lol

So to surprise him I ordered TML garters and won't tell him. I showed him a black lace garter set I was working at and then the only confirmation I gave him is that I ordered the garters lol Here are the ones that are being delivered to the house of one of my bridesmaids (so there's no chance he can peek):

Any other ideas to surprise him? TIA!

We are doing a grooms cake I let him pick because the wedding is so much about the bride I thought it would be nice for him to pick although I already knew it would be a wwe cake lol its going to be a wrestling ring with two of his favorite guys on it

My current plans to surprise my FI are to rent a classic car to take us away after the ceremony. FI loves classic cars and I thought it would be fun to not let him know that we will get to ride around in one and get pics after the ceremony! Other than that, I think a grooms cake at the RD would be a nice touch too. I might do that as well.

First of all....GO LEAFS GO! Lol the garters will be a nice surprise for sure. I'm going to surprise him with a Zelda themed cake of some sort. Also going to wrap the hair ribbon I wore when we first me around my bouquet. Think I'll also sneak in snap dragons somewhere because he finds them amusing lol

He is into Nascar and #11 Denny Hamlin is his favorite driver. So I am having Hamlin's car made as his cake. And when we were doing our cake tasting for the other cake, I asked him which was his favorite and that's what his cake will be.

I know that FI's favourite is the marble cake that my friend makes, and she's making our wedding cake so I could totally pull off the grooms cake thing... hmmm

Hockey fans here, too-- but the suprise groom's cake will be NY Rangers

The garters are a great idea! We will be wearing our jerseys for at least a shot or two of the engagement photos, and he will have tiny NHL cufflinks come wedding day.
