Haha :) I'm an eggplant for like, the 3rd week in a row. Gah. So far we're doing good. Everyone keeps telling me I'm "so tiny" which I find ironic because now I'm considered high risk for a big baby. Go figure :)
• I didn't even think of that Tide. I hope your recovery is quick so you won't have to make any tough decisions like that. You've totally rocked childbirth before though, so this should be no biggie. ;)

Play, good luck with your surgery! That's no fun. I'm sure being out of school by then will be a relief.

Roxy, I miss GG too! I've seen her post a bit here and there still, but I think she has a new sn.

Ha, the eggplant plateau. Aw, I just saw your gestational diabetes link. How are you doing with it so far? My sister developed GD in her last tri, and once she got the hang of the menu planning, etc. she was actually taking better care of herself than ever (and it went away after birth, woot!). But it's not something you ever plan for, I'm sure. :( In that case, I hope you stay tiny!

Thank You. Yes, I was lucky enough to be able to put it off until after school is out. Lucky me I get the call on Friday the 13th to tell me what time I have to be there on Monday the 16th. Never had a broken bone or any kind of surgery at all. So very scary in every aspect possible.

• So far it's going good. With my new diet my numbers have been staying well below where they need to be. I might have to go on a higher calorie diet though because I lost 2 pounds in my first week! My next regular appointment is next Monday though so we'll see if I'm still measuring average or not. I'm still a bit in shock that we're only 9-12 weeks away from full term, and that the school year is over in 8 weeks and I can be a sahw/sahm until Nov.

[QUOTE]I'm doing alright. Surgery in less then 3 weeks. And my it's one thing after another with my truck. But life is ok otherwise. School's almost done. Tide- YAY for (hopefully) not seeing any NICU time. That's great they don't want to come yet. T&P's for a safe and healthy delivery.

• Poor KW. I bet your body was confused those first couple weeks, not knowing whether to shrink or grow! I'm sure you'll be on top of it in no time. That is really awesome that you get summer break + mat leave. The little one (girl or boy?) has great timing already. :)

Roxy, <3 you too! I'm digging the sexy librarian look.

My friend had GD and they told her her baby was going to be big. By the end, she said she wasn't trying to manage it because she didn't think it was a problem and her son was 6 lbs something. The dr congratulated her for doing such a great job.

Not a typical story, but it intrigued me.

I've heard that GD can be kind of a preview for Type 2. :( My last number was elevated, so I know I have some resistance plus diabetes runs in my family. I really need to be better with my carbs/sugar.

• The socks are what makes the outfit, Rox! Every time I see those H&M commercials I think of you. And I forgot you're a couple time zones away and was going to be like "why are you still wearing daytime clothes on a Monday?!" Ha, I've been in my PJs since I got home at 8:00.

Sucrets, KW, my sister's son was born a normal weight as well, though they also estimated him to be much heavier. Not trying to make it all about me, just trying to reassure. ;)

• BG- I always put Pj's on as soon as I get home. Unless, I'm wearing a comfy dress like this one. If it were the weekend I'd sleep in it.
• Ooh that dress sounds lovely. I sometimes sleep in comfy day tops too, but I try not to because it wears them out faster.

• Yeah. Sil's sil had GD for her baby and delivered at 6 pounds, so I'm feeling better about it after hearing so many stories about perfectly normal babies. My grandpa and my aunts have type 2 so it wasn't a huge shocker. Just a shocker because I'm the only one of the family who actually pays attention to what goes in my mouth! Ah well. This pregnancy is definitely getting me over my needle phobia!

ok, bedtime for me. Don't stay away ladies! I miss you.
• It is. It's stretchy cotton softnes and it is from H&M, $15! I should've gotten it in more colors.

I agree, comfy pants are a necessity!

I can't get behind sleeping in a dress, though. I wear pj pants or shorts to bed. I bought 2 nightgowns to wear when I was pg and it was just weird. But they were definitely a necessity then!

• I used to find nightgowns odd until a few years ago. Now I love them. So comfy buuut I dont like how they can scrunch up around your waist in your sleep.
• That's great, KW. :) I'm glad you're taking some good feelings of relief from the positive experiences of others. Best of luck in the home stretch! Good night.

Roxy, I knew it! Damn, I've got to get my ass to H&M. The closest one is 40 miles away, boo. And don't worry, I'm sure they'll come up with something just as awesome really soon. Can't beat the price though! It's like the IKEA of clothes.
