  I don't think that's a lot for Charleston.  One guy had a package that was $8000 so no, I think that's pretty decent for an experienced photographer!

  That's an awesome price. Most packages are $3500-$4000 to start.

  I found a great up and coming photographer here in Charleston that is very inexpensive and does great work.  Go to http://www.reesemooreweddings.com and check her out. She has a two hour minimum for 800 and each additional hour is 200 but you get a hi res cd with rights to all your pictures. Hope that might help.

  I'm in the charleston area (james island) and using Amy Prikalzsky Photography.  She is a fairly new photographer but she has awesome packages for under $1000!

  My Photographer is John Mann of Columbia,SC. He will travel where ever you need. He's charging us $225 an hour. This includes full edit, cd, and all rights to the prints. Our day will be $1130, for 5 hours. We will be doing a photo shoot throughout Charleston, after the ceremony.
  He did my FI's daughters wedding last Sept, thats how we found him.

  That's a pretty good deal. Shannon Cunningham is mine and she charges a bit less and she's amazing! Her website is shannonmichelephotographyblog.com and she has gorgeous pictures, and I've loved working with her.

  I'm planning my vow renewal for 2012 or 2013. I want to find some photogs that do both the CD and the album. I LOVE my album and wouldn't trade it for the world. I printed off a bunch of 4x6s from the wedding, but I've never done anything with the CD or those pics. In fact, I don't think I know where the CD is now, but my album... I still show it off to people and we've been married almost 5 years. Yes, I want to have a vow renewal at 7 years

  Photography by Terry does a great job and has unlimited time packages for $2000. That also includes a 2nd photographer. They have been doing weddings for quite a while now and I have several friends who have used them. You can see the packages and prices at  www.photographybyterryinc.com
