hetshup - you're definitely not the only nerd! i wore my 'dumbledore's army' shirt the other day and the kids wouldn't let it go, haha! - and I know you didn't ask me, but I LOVE weeds! I can't wait to rent the newest season and watch it all in one day! (I don't have showtime ::sad face::

And I am a TOTAL HP NERD!!!

My brother and I have both read the books at least 4 times each and I made him and BF go to the midnight showing and get there 3 hours in advance so we got good seats....then after the movie brother and I completely analyzed and compared how the book and the movie were different. Definite nerd move.

kelsey, katanne, etc. - don't worry about being a HP nerd. I'm a slasher flick nerd. I made FI take me to opening night Friday Feb 13 showing of the Friday the 13th remake. Screw flowers and chocolates, I wanted F13. I made FI promise me that he'll take me to opening night of Nightmare on Elm Street in three weeks. I'm seriously tempted to make him wear the knife glove and sweater and hat, and paint some slashmarks on my neck, just to complete the nerd package.

I didn't really do anything too exciting this weekend. On saturday, I cleaned the house while BF was at work and later we went to his BFF's house to eat dinner(Ribs). And we went to Best Buy. On Sunday we ate Breakfast at BF's parents' house(we had Bagels with cream cheese and lox) and BF played a Beta for a video game while I did some writing and BF's mom helped me dye my hair. BF and I went to the mall. And then we went to his parents' house again for dinner. We had a barbeque and met his sister's new boyfriend.

This upcoming weekend, BF will be out of town for a camping trip with work.

Narwhal, props to you for posting that pic. I had a really bad allergic reaction once that definitely turned me into puff the blowfish. it was not pleasant for me, or anyone who had to see me, so i stayed in complete reclusion until my features had retracted to their usual grace.

my weekend was pretty low-key, work on saturday followed by movie with the girls. oh wait, then sunday, i made a speech at a kind of piano convention and must admit, it went awesomely, and i also packed my mother off on a month-long business trip to switzerland.

Ohhh, Narwhal, you poor thing! That sucks! I'm glad you recovered okay, but def talk to your doc about your allergy.

Desert- The same thing happened to me on valentines day. I thought I was allergic to my mango drink, but my doctor said it wasn't likely to have a reaction to something you've never had before, especially as an adult. I was tested for the mangos anyway, and nothing showed up. Recently, I thought it was the grenadine in the drink, because I had a little reaction after I had another drink in it. It wasn't too bad though, nothing like this.

Saturday night, I had a whole lot of shrimp and scallops (on valentines I had lobster) and this happened again. The allergy test came back negative for shellfish. My doctor is rather angry that the allergist didn't do more extensive testing.

My reactions are abnormal, though, because they don't occur right away. I go to bed fine and then wake up really sick. Today, my throat closed up. So instead of an immediate reaction to whatever it is, it's spread out over a couple of days. Its pretty rough. I'm getting more tests done later.

Narwhal, it sucks to have to do more tests and have weirdness happening, but I'm really happy that you're okay. Food allergies are so dangerous, so I hope they get enough info to figure it out and keep you safe!

Desert - thanks, I lurrrve that ring! This morning he was looking at his hands while we were driving to work and then he looks at me and goes "How do I know what size ring I wear?" I just kind of looked at him and was like "Get measured...? At a jewelers...?" And he goes "Oh. Okay." Dead silence for about a minute "And you're a 9 right?"

I almost lost it laughing. He is too cute! I reassured him that yes my ring finger is a 9 (I know I'm a monster.) and he looked too proud of himself. It was really funny/cute!
