I remember when...

...I used to really love having intellectual conversations for fun. Now, when work is done, my brain is off.

...I had a cellphone that came with it's own backpack.

...when I didn't have a cellphone.

...when I played coleco vision. GOD that was awesome.

I had a maroon one.  It said, "second place is the first loser"

  • Perms?  Anyone?

I remember when I sounded like an uneducated redneck from BFE Kentucky.

    When Princess Di died

My favorite pair of jeans were skinny, and had slits in the back that were closed by bows.

*Note:  Here, everything 80's is back in style.  The giant eyeglass frames, the mismatching socks, bright colored leggings.... oh man.  It's bad.  I kept thinking, as I was reading through, "I saw that yesterday"*
  • T and I just said last night that when they made the Karate Kid with the girl it was REACHING and will never be the same without Daniel son.  :)

It's here too!  I HATE IT.  I will never go back!
  • I had a No Fear T shirt!  It was the hockey one.  It said something like, "Give blood, Play hockey".  My grandma bought it for me, and she thought it was the weirdest thing ever.

Remember the shirts that used to change color with heat, or water, or something. I forget what they were called, maybe Hypercolor?. They were so cool because after PE your pits were a different color (not dingy white like normal)

Oh, and Bart Simpson "Eat My Shorts" shirts. I begged for one.

  • Ugh, I'm so over kids wearing those stupid 80's sunglasses now... they're so ugly!  They were ugly in '86, and they're ugly now.

I still say that to this day.

I thought the same thing until I saw that Mister Miyagi is played by JACKIE CHAN. That's pretty solid.

  • I looked like a goddamn poodle with a perm in my hair.  And not those cute, super ringlety style.  Oh no, it was a wavy, frizzy mess.  Probably didn't help that I had a mullett too.
  • My friend, Suzanne, used to get perms only in her bangs. She was awesome.

  • I would have KILLED to be on Double Dare!  Or that FunHouse show.

Hyper-color, including the shorts that were not a good idea for anyone.

Also Vuarnet shirts and Umbros (not necessarily together).

    Birks with socks.

My late 90s dark purple lipstick--to go with the White Zin.
  • My mom thought putting sponge rollers in our hair was cool.
  • I always wanted a perm.  It'd have never worked, OR looked good.

So I used to do my bangs like this!  I have a picture in 3rd grade totally rocking it.

  • I'm too old for JTT--in my day it was the Two Coreys and Kirk Cameron.  Oh, and the New Kids.
