Those were weird....I think she was trying to go for a certain look (I cant even describe it) and it just looks like crap. I want to call it a "smize" (like Tyra says) haha

I have tried to take pictures like that and I look pissed too hahaha I guess some of us just cannot make that face

but at least I know I look weird doing it so I wont be making that expression in my engagement photos

Her photographer should have said something...like SMILE!!!

And way too many headless bodies.. those pics didn't do much for me either....

I don't like it when photographers get in a pose rut and make all their subjects do the same thing. In about 20% of our pics, our photog made us do this Y pose where the lower half of our bodies were very close and then he told us to lean outward from the waist up. I didn't like how any of those pics came out.

Well, I didn't think they were totally awful--mainly just boring.

But holy crap--that's a VERY high-end photographer. I would be PO'ed that they couldn't do any better than that.

Stephie - that is what I was thinking!!! They spent a LOT of money for those probably.

I don't think their "bad" persay.... but what I did notice is it may have been the photographer because he isn't smiling either. They are either both smiling or both frowning, and mostly frowning...

I don't know....I thought they were bad. Most awkward pictures I think I've ever seen.

All the angles he shot at were just..not good. And he did nothing creative, at all. With lighting, or angles, or lenses, or backgrounds, or scenery...

And they looked posed. Like he said "Ok, you stand there, and you stand there, and then look at me" Which is just bad form, IMO. When I think of e-pics, I think of pictures that are natural, like you are having fun and don't even notice there's a camera around. And it's the photographers job to make you feel comfortable if you're not someone who feels comfortable in front of a camera to begin with.

FI and I aren't avid picture takers. In fact, we didn't know what to do during our e-pics. But, after we loosened up, our photographer was wonderful about making us feel comfortable and free to be ourselves and ours turned out great..like we are just being us and having a good time and someone happened to just be there with a camera.

I dunno, just my rant. haha. I feel bad for them, because they're doing the wedding too. I hope the wedding pictures are better, but I looked at some of the other pictures on that guy's website and he just isn't that great.

Ick. There are some pretty bad bridals on there too. Is it just this particular photographer maybe? I'm telling you, this is one of my all time favorite companies and I have seen fantastic stuff from them! I'm hoping it's just this shooter.
