Bridesmaid's tats and piercings...

2»

Re: Bridesmaid's tats and piercings...

  • I agree that it is inappropriate to ask an attendant to change his/her appearance to suit your "vision."  But I do wonder - awhile back a bride posted a picture of one of the groomsmen (best man, maybe?) who got a truly truly ridiculous haircut a week or so before the wedding.

IIRC, people were chiming in with "Oh, I'd be so pissed!" What's the difference?  A person chooses a hairstyle as much to express himself/herself as a person chooses body art or piercings, no?
  • You need to get over yourself. Who cares if she shows up with a tribal armband? How will this affect you at all?

it doesn't go with the damask table runners.

  • Sometimes I'm surprised about how concerned people are about how the pictures are going to look. It's not like anybody really wants to see them besides you (and people on here). If you want have perfect control over the content of your photographs, don't photograph human beings.
  • it depends, is your brother planning on tearing the sleeves off his shirt and jacket and ushering people around like Larry the freaking Cable Guy?

Aww.. are you mad because we didn't validate your bridezilla-ness?
  • You don't have the right to tell her what to do with her body.

It's NOT the same are ripping your tux, but if someones brother dyed their hair purple. well his choice.

I'm suddenly very glad I have the friends and family I do.... gonna go home and give them big hugs this weekend while I'm up there lol

  • I dunno, is your brother going to rip the sleeves of his shirt and jacket and escort people around like Larry the freaking Cable Guy?

Hey, patronizing bitches, I asked a perfectly reasonable question, it was NOT a cue for you to unhinge your jaws.  A simple, "No, Sadie, it's not a good idea to say anything, it's not a big deal" would have been enough.
Ugh.  this is why my friends are all dudes.  Women suck.
A bunch of merkins, ALL OF YOU!!

<div>And really so what if he did? What would that affect? That would be a weird thing to do, but I'm sure she wouldn't not ask her brother to usher if that were his plan.</div><div>
</div><div>You are way too concerned about how people look.</div>

  • I begrudgingly give points for "merkin."
  • Hahahaha I think that's one of the most interesting insults that has ever been thrown on here.

  •  You just didn't like that instead of patting your hand and telling you it's a good idea, we bitched you out.
  • Merkins... awesome.

FWIW, FI likes it when I unhinge my jaws.

  • Wow with that type of attitude I'm genuinely shocked you have any friends at all.

It's NOT a valid question because you're being a snotty brat who will freak out(omgwtfbbq!!!111!!!oneeleven!!!!1) if someone gets a facial piercing.

I hope she gets 10 rings in her eyebrows, 4 lip piercings and a big septum ring :-) Better yet if she shaves her head and dyes part of it purple.

  • I hope she gets an unmentionable pierced and whips it out during the reception.
  • Pretty sure your male friends would have said exactly the same thing--of course, it probably would never have occurred to them to change the way a friend/family member looked for their wedding.

  • I will say that my brother isn't keen on wearing a tux, although my mom wants him to. What does it matter? He COULD show up in grease stained jeans a a wifebeater for all I care.

  • My rule for bridesmaids, make sure that your nipples are covered and that you don't need two hairstyles.

Though, if they are wearing merkins, I guess that's ok.
