Kim Kardashian's engagement ring!

2»

Re: Kim Kardashian's engagement ring!

  • Love the ring. I'd wear it and love it. I'd never say no to wearing a big diamond.

As stated in many other threads I hate when people say/think that the person could have spent the money on something more worthwhile then the ring. Its their money and their business.
  • ooooh.....i LOVE! my FI thinks my (almost) 2 ct ring is too big. i can't wait to see his reaction to a pic of this one....
  • I loved the fact they said it wasn't the "2 month salary rule" for this ring, it was almost a year's pay for him. That made me laugh. But hey - have at it.

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Her FI didn't buy the ring, she bought it for herself (probably for publicity, which she lives on). She is worth three times what he is...

  • Oh I would definitely wear it. I get distracted by shiney things though.

Actually, I thought that too, but today's article said he bought it.

  • It's kind of a weird shape, I wonder what kind of band she'll get with it.

  • I don't know if I would like a ring that big.

Now I know that sometimes the bigger isn't always the better.

  • I'd totally wear it if I were KK. I'm not a huge diamond fan though. It's his/her money and if that's what they want to spend it on that's their prerogative.

Then my guess is you and Kim learned from the best. Kim interviewed (!!!) Elizabeth Taylor about her diamond collection shortly before she died and was told that (diamond) size does matter (although so does the emotion behind it). This is the woman who famously said, "I know I'm vulgar, but would you have me any other way?" The woman was awesome.

Seriously... I would honestly be worried someone would want to break my hand just to get it. And, I know she doesn't do much but I would think that something that big would be knocked constantly against things

[QUOTE]I love anything big tacky and blingy! But, this is over the top. And for some reason kate's ring doesnt look like a ginormous whopper, but Im sure if I was to see it with 2 miles it would look huge. I would be happy with anything that Fi got me even the little tiny not so shiney thing he got me when we were in high school. HAHA I hope that this is true love and that he isnt in it for the booty and her in it for the mulah. So Im just wondering what his net worth is if he can afford a 2 milli rock. Or..is it paid for?

I just don't get the stigma behind liking big expensive things. It may not be for everyone but it doesn't make her or anyone else a jerk for liking that kind of stuff. Its just a difference in taste/style not a difference in being a good person vs a bad person or good taste/good style vs bad taste/bad style.

    I'm with you here.

I'd just prefer a radiant cut over the emerald cut. But even emerald, I'd still wear it and love it.
    image
  • It just isn't my style in the least, but if you can wear it and carry it off, then rock on (no pun intended).
And blue, maybe its kind of like the stigma that goes the other way, when people (not here) will look at a ring with a small stone, and say, "oh, that's... cute" or something like that. I don't know.

I don't think I've seen one hideous ring here whenever we've done ring postings, large or small.

Oh, I didn't want to associate you with a stigma, I was trying to associate you with someone incredibly awesome. Liz Taylor knew full well that no one was going to call her style "understated elegance," and that's where the "vulgarity" came in, because her glamour was in your face. All or nothing style is something not everyone can pull off; she did, and as you put it, I'm sure you would also rock the everliving sh*t out of that rock. :)

Only $2 million for 20 carats?

Isn't that kind of a steal?

Never figured Kim Kardashian would seek out a deal!

Yes, but that marriage lasted 4 years. It wasn't just an elopement followed by a quick annulment/divorce the way "eloped to Vegas" (especially at 19) tends to connote.
