I've been to Williamsburg, and ate at Kings Arms - it was nice, if you eliminate the company.
That was where my parents honeymooned, and went their second year. And I was born 9 months later. So yeah. Conceived in colonial times, born in the late
60s.

Friday the 13th was the day I moved in with John. Of course, it was at the height of the massive floods here; they had just moved his shop to the airport because his was about to flood (and did). So, I kind of like this date. Chiller or ID channel is running some kind of marathon/bizarre show thing tonight. Otherwise, its a crappy day here, and shaping up to be a crappy weekend. Unless I get to meet AndressFrank.

John leaves tomorrow for a 6 day ATV and bicycling trip. Some of the solitude will be nice, but that also means Max is all mine to care for. And thinking about that wears me out. He's also taking my Xterra (WTF was I thinking when I agreed to that?), so I'll be driving the Miata all week. He'd better get the hard top and bike rack off today.

Morning ladies! I'm so glad it's Friday

Yesterday was a crazy day at work and H actually has off this evening with me so we get to spend 20 straight hours together before he goes to work tomorrow night, yay!

I love Friday the 13th. H and I officially became a couple on a Friday the 13th so it's got a special spot in our hearts. Gag

We were going to get married on Friday the 13th last year, but ended up wanting a Saturday wedding so we just did the rehearsal on the 13th.

No big plans for the weekend, I was hoping to get some hiking in, but it looks like it's going to rain all weekend. Blech. That's not helping my weight loss cause. Or my non-weight loss cause I should say after getting on the scale this morning. Ooops.

This weekend, FI and I are going to try to build my mom's garden planter. We were supposed to do it for Mother's Day, but it rained for 30 days straight. We're going to build it even if it rains, but the soil can't be delivered if it is/will be raining.

Morning. I've been slammed this morning, and finally got my head above water. Whew! Can't believe 3 pages already.

I have a brag and a sad this morning. Yesterday was the chorus banquet for my older daughter. I had class and had to miss it. My daughter got named 2nd best soprano in her honor's chorus, by the director. Her peers voted her 2nd best in regular chorus, too. She's a 7th grader, and the honor's chorus is both 7th and 8th. So I'm mighty proud of her, but sad that I missed seeing her get the awards.

I have a pretty awesome day planned- Having coffee with my MOH so she can let me know about the Bachelorette party plans, then picking up FI at 3:15 for the weekend, then doing favours tonight with FI and my mom

AND TOMORROW I PICK UP MY DRESS. I'm so excited to get it/ terrified that they ruined it. I'm sure it's fine. I'm just paranoid.

Have we heard from Diane yet about her baby??

Tonight is my second to last night of bowling in my league (thank goodness!), and then if it rains all weekend I guess I will go through my clothes and get rid of the old/fugly/stained/too small/damaged stuff and end up going to work on Monday naked! That, or go shopping.

I also need to get busy on my friend's baby blanket.

My paternal grandparents were married on the 13th. Years later on the back of a picture of two of them she wrote "Thirteen IS NOT an unlucky number."

I only wish my grandfather had been around when I was born. He died four years before my parents married and 5 1/2 years before I was born.
