While my ring is in the process of being designed and made (we're only at the CAD stage... it's taking so long... ::sigh::), I thought I would leap year propose to him (to make it ring official, as FI calls us "provisionally engaged"). I know FI's family would really love it because they have suggested this idea to me.
So figure why not. So I made an origami ring box and lined it with tissue paper with silver cherry blossoms, which I plan to reuse at my wedding to hold the wedding rings (I'll have florist foam that I will wrap with the same tissue paper and have the rings stand up like a real ring box).
Cost: The price of 1 8.5x11 paper and the price of 1 tissue paper (since I didn't have any on hand it was like $1) + the price of a ring pop <$1.
