NWR - Moving to NOLA in 3 weeks..

and I need to find a sports bar to watch non-Saints football games?   Do they exist?

I'm living in the French Quarter area, but will travel.

The only place that I have been to watch a Saints game is Buffalo Wild Wings and they normally have multiple games on at once, so I would think other "sports" bars would do the same.

I have been to Fox and Hound in the Elmwood area.  It's pretty big so I'd imagine they would play other games too.

Most local sports bars have satellite so that they can put all of the Sunday games on the various different TV screens. Obviously, while the Saints game is on it's harder to find a screen that's not showing it, but for the games that are on before and/or after it's not hard at all.   Some of my favorites that I know have a WHOLE lotta screens are Fat Harry's (smoke free!) and Cooter Brown's.

Here's a link to the Gambit website.  It's the Bible for all the restaurants, bars, and music scene around here. It also has all the festivals and upcoming events. www.bestofneworleans.com

    Thanks ladies.

DH and I are both football fans, but different teams. So not only do I have fight to see the Eagles with DH, now I have to fight everyone else.    St Thomas was easy to watch games because there was no home team.  Plus we knew the owners so we got VIP treatment.   Maybe I need to befriend a bar tender or 2?

I love the befriend a bartender part!!! I was trying to remember a place then I saw Nolabridealmosts post. It was fox and hound and was out side the quarter. We had a great time there. Lots of TV's and it seemed there were several rooms where you could possibly ask to have a different game going on in one if the others were watching something else. I live oot but a tip i find helps me here is to call in advance after i gooigle for info and ask if they do take requests per say. good luck and have fun.

There's a Gordon Biersch that has TV's in the bar area, right on the outside of the Quarter.

OK, there is a group of Eagles fans that go to Wit's Inn on Carrollton & Canal in Mid-City.  They always play all the games there, and the food and drinks are teriffic.  The only drawback is that it is smoky, and if the Saints are playing away it does get pretty crowded.
Otherwise, Gordon Bierch or Cooter's is also a good choice.
