Too early for evening thread? I don't care.

Hi!

I ate half of the leftover soup last night for dinner already.  I'm considering eating the rest. It's super fucking delicious.  Would that make me the worst wife ever?

I figured out that I can pin my wedding pictures from the site they are on.  That's getting some of my attention hoar tendancies out of my system until I get the disc in the mail.

  • I am trying to get the rice started before FI gets home from work. Only problem is, he screwed the cap of the minced garlic on too tight and I can't get it off!!!!

  • I am so relieved, we finally found a venue for our new date. All I did at work for the last 2 days was email & call venues across the city of Toronto & now its done - for now! My mom has spent the past 2 days googling pictures of the venue, she was soo thrilled when I told her we were going with it =)

Today is my day off, I so need it. I was supposed to pick my courses tonight for the fall semester but for some reason my access time was pushed from today to tomorrow so now I have to wait till tomorrow night.

I'm watching the bachelorette on demand on and waiting for FI to come home from work.

  • Evening! I'm making a grocery list and about to head out the door. I'm hoping to have the rest of the afternoon to chop all this stuff up and put things in freezer bags.

I don't really know what to make for dinner tonight, though.
  • I like early evening threads since I'm always still at work.

Sooshi, have you tried tapping the edges of the lid with a spoon or knife?

MUN1 - you have my permission to eat the rest of the soup.  :)

</div><div>And, H is at class tonight, so he already ate somewhere between work and class.  </div>
  • I was going to make this if someone hadn't, so definitely not too early.

I just finished cleaning bathrooms and I don't feel like cleaning anything else, even though I should. I have so much to do before I leave tomorrow, and I did almost none of it today, way to go, Angel.

  • I have done next to nothing today. I hate not working, it makes me uber lazy.

Muni, depends. Will he have anything else to eat?

I was looking forward to FI leaving for the night so I could drink my wine in peace. Now he says he doesn't feel well enough to drive out of town tonight so he'll wake up early and leave in the morning. I somehow doubt it since he rarely wakes up before noon. Damn I sound bitter.
  • I just finished distracting the dog with the sprinkler, so that I could get back the new pair of VS undies that he snagged out of the dirty clothes hamper, in his quest for my attention.

He always wants to play when I'm working on school stuff.  I have a paper due Tuesday, so I'm working on it for a little while tonight.

FI is bringing home Popeyes chicken for dinner...not exactly good for me, but I don't eat it everyday, so it's a treat.
  • He just got home and opened it for me :) Somewhere we have one of those Pampered Chef jar openers....but it's in box limbo.

MUN1- i think if you made the soup you get first dibbs on leftovers!

  • Good evening.  I'm still at work for a few more minutes.  FI is sick so I'll be spending my evening disinfecting everything. Can't wait! Undecided

  • Oh, if he ate somewhere else then the soup is fair game!

  • In our house the leftover rule is - if your name isn't on it, then it's fair game.

    Use our rule for tonight.

  • I am so glad our dogs don't hamper raid.  I was house/pet-sitting once and the dog got into my duffle bag and took out every single pair of underwear and socks in there - clean and dirty.  I missed one pair of chonies that had been taken to the backyard but thankfully it was a female friend who I was sitting for.

For real... my "puppy" (she's 2) steals only my favorite lacey ones. She's pretty good about giving them up when I catch her, but it's pretty embarassing having to do so in front of the future in-laws.

Not only do they know the important ones, but they have ridiculously bad timing.

</div><div>Yep...he's so bad, but then he's also the sweetest dog. When I leave he sits on the stairs, halfway up the flight, and is always in the same spot when I get home. He pines for FI when he leaves. It's pitiful to see a dog cry.</div>

  • We write our names on any food that's ours specifically, along with a threatening message. My mom thinks we could do without the threatening message, but it's more fun that way. Plus, I really will punch one of my sisters in the face if they eat my leftovers.

  • I'm eating it.

Watch, tomorrow during FFF, I'm going to get flamed for this.

    Worth it.
  • Hello, hello! I haven't participated in an evening thread in a while, thought I'd jump in.

I had a Slim Fast shake and a piece of french baguette for dinner. Haute cuisine, I tell ya.

My plans for tonight include making a million wedding related checklists and watching NCIS.

Mun1, I'm already anxious to see my wedding photos and I haven't even gotten married yet. I can totally understand not wanting to wait for that disc.
  • Hello. MUNI I saw your wedding pictures on Pinterest. Super cute.

I'm waiting on dinner to finish cooking. I wish our damn marriage license would come in the mail so I can go change my name. I'm getting impatient.
  • Sigh....it's raining everywhere in Houston, except for over my house. My garden needs rain water and my water bill could use a break....waaaa.
  • Hey guys.

That is all I have energy for right now.

  • Eat the soup Muni.

Pretty sure I just ate a whole box of Kraft mac & cheese. That is definitely not on the diet. Tomorrow is another day I guess.

I got a little sentimental at work today as I was packing up my office. I'm becoming sad to leave.
