Didja use candy scoopers? If so, where didja get said scoopers from? If not, what didja use?

Dear Amanda, (and other RFW Knotties!)
I will not be able to run/walk with the group at the Race for Wishes :( My BFF from Ohio will be in Austin for her sisters bachelorette party and I will be down there all weekend for the festivities. I am sad that I won't be able to see/meet everyone out there! I will be making a donation to the DFW Knottie Team fund though :)

    Dear Brooke,

I've done laser hair removal on my underarms and it has worked out wonderfully! I had thick hair that I had to shave everyday. It is now nada. I love it! The place I went to had a suction laser. It wasn't painful at all because supposedly you aren't able to feel pain and pressure at the same time.

    Enjoy!

    Natalie-

We are doing the land & sea adventure that goes to the volcano, the pitons, and some other cool things.

    http://www.islandroutes.com/tours/descriptions.cfm?event=ehTours.dspDescription&tid=67&cid=7

We are also doing the ziplining and the horseback riding.  We are doing them every other day so we don't wear ourselves out.

I know we talked about this but I can't remember....did you say you did visit some of the towns there?

    Sarah,

Sounds like y'all are doing exactly what we did! We did all those things. You'll love it. Be prepared to do some walking when you do the ziplining.

We went into the town of Castries the day before we left to do some shopping and whatnot. We took a taxi, I think it was about a 20 ish minute drive.

    Natalie,

Thanks for the tip!  I'm glad that you have already been so I know the things we picked will be fun!  It was really hard to pick which things we wanted to do.  I just knew I really wanted to see the volcano and my FI really wanted to do the ziplining.  So then I guess it would be ideal to bring some comfortable walking shoes? :-)

Yes! Bring tennis shoes for that!

Plus that wouldn't be good if you were zipping down a line and a flip flop went flying off! hahaha.

I wore tennis shoes for the horseback riding too. But, some people had flipflops on. I just find it easier to ride a horse in tennis shoes.

Bring a backpack for the horseback riding so you can have something to put your shoes and clothes in when you go to the beach and get in the water. And you'll want to wear your bathing suit under your clothes that day! Oh, and wear sunscreen!

    Dear DH,

You are impossible to buy for.  Your birthday is in 2 weeks and I have no idea except for a bigger TV....which shopping for makes my head spin.   How can 2 TV's with approximately all of the same specifications be $1000+ different in price? ...and why is plasma cheaper than LCD?  I like Plasma Better.   ...and why buy LED for energy savings when the damn thing costs $1000 more to begin with?

    Natalie and Sarah,
What close are you and did you take there? I thought getting jeans wet there would be annoying, but  sundress and stuff wouldn't be good with all the activities. I thought I would at least start shopping for some of it now.

Also I'm doing pretty much the same thing. We also want to do scuba diving!!

Natalie -  Some of the LCD's really hurt my eyes.   I'm sure I could probably tweak the settings though.

Julie -  I am currently looking into LED-LCD's.  There are some amazing deals out there right now that make them not that much more expensive.    I'm just looking for the catch. :)

I can't watch anything in 3D though, so I never have to worry about that at least.  DH doesn't care for it either.  It makes me nauseous and I always get a headache.

    Dear Brooke,
I also bought a groupon for laser treatment many months ago and went for the first session. It didn't hurt at all, but I also don't think it worked very well. I  think they may have set the laser too low on me or it just wasn't a very good laser, because I never saw a difference and I'm the ideal candidate (pale skin, dark hair). I'm going to a different place next month that came highly recommended by a coworker and hoping for some actual results this time. While my first experience and my Groupon experience wasn't the best, I'm still glad I did it and willing to keep trying different places/lasers. Anything to reduce the amount of time I need to get ready in the morning!
