Oooh, Lindsay I might try that one! I made chili last night and it was delish. Looking forward to leftovers for lunch!
Last night, when BF was reading before bed, he asked me to come cuddle with him (we sleep in different rooms during the week, and he goes to bed much earlier than me). And he rubbed my shoulders and arm absentmindedly while he read his book, and kissed my forehead, and smoothed my hair back. It was so affectionate and sweet, and it made my day and melted all the stress away from me.

i haven't found a chili recipe i love just yet... what do you put in yours?
that's super sweet... BF and i don't live together, but we spend almost every evening together... moments like that are very special! :)
I sort of make do as I go with my chili... I sautee some onions and garlic, then add lean ground beef. Some salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne, and Mexican Chili Powder. Then I put it in the crock pot with a few cans of diced tomatoes, then I drain a can of corn with whatever kinds of beans I feel like (usually 2-3 cans - Great Northern White are good, as are Red Kidney... not a fan of Garbanzo as they fall apart) and add those to the mix. Add some more of the above spices, a little bit of beer if I have it, and let it simmer overnight or through the day. It's delish!

Awesome.
What made me smile yesterday: I got cut off turning into a service road from a main road. But it's ok, b/c the driver was an old lady, (think cottonball head). smoking one of those LONG cigs, and driving a Yukon XL. I know what I want to be when I grow up.

Baking. I love to bake and it can always make me smile to look at recipes and then see my finished product.
Yesterday my moissanite stone finally came in and my BF showed it to me (like I said before, he has a really hard time not telling me stuff). We looked at it under the light and in the sun. It is so pretty It was interesting to just have a loose stone in your hands!

My nephew. He is adorable! At the wedding he kept asking the guests if they wanted to meet the bride. He was so excited to be in the wedding. When my brother brought him to get fitted for the tux he wanted to leave with the tux coat on and thought my wedding was that night. Then after the wedding he was very excited to bring home the ring bearer pillow. He danced the night away at the reception. He is just too cute for words. IN.ONE.WEEK.
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/minestrone-recipe/index.html
i made this over the weekend, only i doubled the veggies and used 2 cups of pasta. it was fantastic.
