Morning!

Um, it's sunny and kinda warm here? Does that make you happy for me?

It's Monday. Blah. I feel a bit like a doofus. We've got a couple girls here from the Boston office, who I work with kind of closely, and I keep offering to do stuff with them after work, but they don't really say anything. I keep telling myself to stop offering because clearly they don't want to, but I guess I'm just kind of lonely for friends. /greatstorymichelle

Anywho-- I'm just stoked that people are going on vacation in the next couple of days. Yay!

Good Morning. It's blah here today. I'm hoping to work at least 14 hours today. We'll see if the doctors get me their presentations that were due FRIDAY! Ugh. I have 3 out of 8. Each one takes at least 4 hours to do. It's going to be a long two days!

Krose, congrats! Sounds very exciting.

Snips, that's weird that they wouldn't take you up on the offer since you obviously know the city and stuff. I wonder what the deal is.

My throat hurts. Ugh. I have a talk to give both this week and next, and I'm supposed to do a reading at my nephew's baptism this weekend. I cannot have laryngitis a second time this year.

Kerose and Bay, I really admire people who go for a master's. I wish I had a good enough idea of what I want to be when I grow up that I could go back to school. I don't want to waste another degree that I'll do nothing with, though.

Good morning ladies. I introduced myself yesterday on a couple of the disappearing threads. Briefly, I am a NC lurker but not a crazy. I use ya'll as wedding prozac, ya'll crack me up during my WP stress times. Monday came to soon for me, and will probably not end soon enough.

Morning everyone! I see TK got hungry yesterday.

I had a really good weekend. FBIL, his wife, and his son (our ring bearer/ FI's godson) came to visit. Usually we don't see them w/o FMIL and FMIL always hogs the little one, even though she sees him every other day. It was nice to hang out with them without FMIL around. I also got to meet Chrissy Saturday, which is always a good time

There were some really hefty storms that rolled through last night. Usually I sleep through storms but even this one woke me up. We needed the rain so badly. But stupid forecast for Saturday has switched from 78/sunny to scattered thunderstorms. Blegh.

Three days of work this week then off till I'm MARRIED!!!

That tattoo is awesome. I just finished at the gym. Today is the first day of my summer job. I love being scheduled for afternoon. I get more done before going in than I would after.

That is a great tattoo. I don't think I could do it, I am such a chicken.

Well, it is off to work I go. I have a sit down this morning with the BIG boss (not Jesus, the pastor) since I had a major emotional meltdown last week that ended with..."you can have this job, I quit" so quite frankly I have no idea what my employment status is now. really awkward, since this is the church where I am getting married and he is one of the pastors doing the ceremony. I hate when I become an emotional pile of jellyfish.

It's Monday, I'm still burning leave time and it is still blah. I got nothin.

I have just over a flat of strawberries to freeze today. Made 26 pints of strawberry freezer jam yesterday. Also have to take DS into Lansing to have his new Scout rank sewn on his shirt and get a bunch of his shorts taken in - he goes to camp next Sunday for a week!!! If he takes care of business this coming year he will be an Eagle Scout next Summer. Just goes to show that even if you have a kid with challenges you can see great things for them. I never thought he'd get this chance. Way to go M.

Oh, and after the tailor, I get 3 fillings. Yeah, it's Monday.

Good Morning! I was wondering why the boards were so dead the last couple of days. TK is hungry.

I am so tired, I brought tea and coffee with me to start my day. I started 50 shades of grey last night and didn't put it down until 2am. And even then I wasn't ready to. I had to force myself to put it down. This series is going to be detrimental to my sleep.

My cohort is not at work yet and not responding to texts, which is not normal. I'm concerned that she's ill, injured, sick kid. Neither of our bosses are here yet, so I don't know if she called in.

LTB, that is obnoxious. Holy crap, it's a tattoo, not an amputation. I'm surprised the artist didn't stop and tell her to come back when she could control herself.

A friend of mine got a huge tattoo on his back for his first tattoo. He fainted twice because he kept holding his breath for some reason. The second time the artist quit and told him to come back another day, because she was worried he wasn't healthy. He came back a few weeks later and had the rest of it done.

The most I freaked out over any of my tattoos was when I first saw the sketch for my back piece. The artist was covering a small tattoo on my shoulder blade, and what he created went across the back of my shoulders. Once I got over the initial shock of seeing how big the new tattoo would be, I was fine.

Morning everyone!

I am not ready for it to be Monday yet.

Friday night, FI and I went on a mini bar crawl and then went to a baseball game, which was a lot of fun. However, we got downtown at about 5pm. By 6:30, I was already completely drunk. Either I really need to start building my tolerance up again or I need to learn to pace myself. FI had surprised me by getting a room downtown, so we didn't have to worry about driving or anything. It was a nice surprise, then we went to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning and had an excellent breakfast burrito which was fabulous hangover food.

Dad's birthday was on Friday and then with Father's Day on Sunday, we took him to dinner on Saturday night and then I had made a fresh peach crisp to have afterwards. I'm really worried about him though. He had back surgery on 5/17, and without going into too many details, he's not getting better, in fact, he's getting worse. He went to the doctor on Friday and they told him he'd either had an OD or a mini-stroke. Happy Birthday to him
