Jeweler LOSt my wedding ring

I am just wondering if anyone else went to Jared The Galleria of Jewelry in Burlington, MA. We had an eerily easy experience on our first visit, and then 6 weeks later when I called about our rings, the reponse was what ring...I left work at noon yesterday to fix this, long story short my experience this visit was much the opposite of the first and I have a serious case of buyer's remorse. Anyone else had trouble there???

BTW, our wedding is in just 5 weeks and everything else has gone swimmingly until this, so we are not that bad off but I nearly had a mental breakdown from this...

oh, no!  what are they doing to help you?  sending good vibes & hugs!  I hope they straighten everything out (AND that you get some kind of compensation)--brides need no additional stress.
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

That's pretty awful. Did you put a deposit down? If so you should have a receipt to show them as proof of your order.

Oh my god, I'm so sorry!  That's awful to be happening, you definitely don't need any extra stress.  Have they said what they are going to do to fix it?

Wow thanks for all the support. I had to reorder.  In 20 minutes I had to find what I thought was the ring i had agonized over for an hour the first visit. And we should be picking it up this weekend, but i was in tears, they were so unappologetic, i was shocked. And they asked if I had simply not ordered a bride's ring, just grooms. We had spent a whole afternoon looking at everything when we went in to order the first time and were so happy. No kind of complimentary service or anything was offered, i just paid and left.

I have to say I do love the ring, but i have to go back twice a year to keep the warranty up, to get it cleaned and everything and I kind of don't want to deal with them at all. Its goign to be fine but I was so so surprised...I don't reccomend them to the next bride...

The receipt I had was a problem. When we went in the first time. They put our rings in little bags, and we opened an in-store credit and they said we had to put a minimum down etc. We did, and they looked at me, not my fiance and said "your's comes to ..." and I paid them. Well they actually charged me for his ring, and his ring only. They never proceeded with mine.

, one that could be fixed if they simply called and said we need another payment for the other ring. BUT the salesperson made a note NOT TO CALL ME. And I asked why when i went in and his reponse was "I must have had some reason" But SIX weeks passed from the day we ordered till the day I called (because I hadn't heard from them yet).

That is totally unacceptable.  I worked with a jeweler for years and we kept a receipt of everything we did.  Repair, purchase, remake... everything.  If you have any paperwork at all I'd go there and demand to speak with a manager.  If you paid them any money, ask for it back.  That is absolutely unforgiveable.

You should absolutely speak to a manager and not let their bad attitude get to you.  The manager should know how his staff is treating the customers.  I'm not sure if you paid any money that you did not get back, but if you did, you absolutely need to demand its return.  If you don't have paperwork then maybe there is nothing that can be done, but I would at least talk to someone other than a regular sales associate about it.

I would also report them to the better business bureau.
