In the book, they are caught because Harry uses Voldemort's name, and because of the Taboo, they are found. Ron tells him (in the book) "it causes some kind of magical disturbance or something. It's how they found Kingsley."
I'm not sure why they weren't caught like that in the movie, though.
Who betrayed them when Harry was being moved? Do we know that yet? I can't remember. I need to read the book again.
I don't know if this was answered, but here's the answer....at the end of the book, Harry goes into the memory that Snape gives him; in the book he sees Dumbledore telling Snape to make sure and give the right information to the Death Eaters, otherwise it will look suspicious. So Snape Confunds Mundungus, and tells him to suggest multiple Potters, which is what Mundungus does. And so they move him, based on that idea. Just a side note: the trace didn't actually break when they moved Harry - the charm that protected him broke once "he no longer called this place home" (Privet Drive). So once he left, knowing he would never return, the charm broke, thereby removing the protection that his mother provided by dying for him. And yes, I am a HUGE dork, and I LOVE Harry Potter

I could be wrong, but I could swear that by the end of the 6th book, Ron and Hermoine were officially a couple. But I agree, the movies never really clarify it. Just like Harry and Ginny - they were a couple by the end of the 6th movie but they don't explain that Harry breaks it off with her at Dumbledore's funeral in the books.
There are definitely some Ron/Hermione moments at Dumbledore's funeral, but there wasn't anything explicitly official. I really expected this movie to start with the funeral, rather than skipping it completely.
I also was thinking the Taboo might get explained in movie #8, but maybe not.
Star - I didn't catch that when watching. But I wonder if it's really a mistake. They could reasonably assume that the 7th part of Voldemort's soul in in V himself.

I think you're right - they never come out and say it in the book, but they don't find about what the 7th horcrux is until towards the end of the book, so that would make sense at this point in the movie.
Oh Sesh... I love you and all but you HAVE to read the books. Especially you who loves books!!!
If I had seen the movies without reading the books I would be very confused. The books are amazing and you just have to read them. They are WAY better than the movies. I've read them all at least 10 times and still find new things each time I read them.
That's all - I think you're questions were answered - I just wanted to contribute that you absolutely HAVE to read the books. :-)

mrsbjs, it would be classy of you to edit your above spoiler about the horcruxes. not saying you have to, but it would be a classy thing to do, since some people obviously haven't read the books.
