Is anyone else finding it tough to find a really modern venue in CT? I've looked at a couple of the other threads, and the same 3 or 4 names of places keep popping up. I love the look of the Marquee, and have been in contact with the coordinator. I also like the modern and unique spin on Saltwater Farm VIneyards. Is there anywhere with a similar look in CT? I'm looking at between 150-200, possibly late winter, early spring.
Re: Modern CT Venue?
Maybe check out their list of venues for some more ideas (I think Saltwater is one of them): http://www.coastalgourmetct.com/venues.htm
Good luck!
On another note, anyone who's had a wedding at the Marquee- is there an area that would be suitable for a cigar roller or place to smoke cigars? I wasn't sure because it seems all indoors.
[QUOTE]Thank you so much for your input, girls! I wrote an email to Farmington Gardens. I'd love some more information about them... apparently I had originally been looking at the wrong Farmington Gardens website! lol On another note, anyone who's had a wedding at the Marquee- is there an area that would be suitable for a cigar roller or place to smoke cigars? </div><div>There are actually a couple of sutiable places for this. Right in front of the building can be roped off, but you can also go out the back entrance and it looks right at Constitution Plaza.

I know that they have a large patio that I think would be perfect for smoking cigars, you may even be able to have the cigar roller in the greenhouse! That would look very cool against the all glass surroundings!!!!
I spoke with Phil when I booked my wedding and I highly recommend him!
