Would YOU buy this dress?

Is this a dress that any of you would buy if you had the chance?
What are your opinions on it? Do you like it?

Re: Would YOU buy this dress?

  • I personally would not buy that dress as it is noy my style but a wedding dress is a very personal thing so it doesn't matter if any of us on here like it. If you like that dress and want to wear then by all means get it but go with your gut and don't pass on a dress because of the opnions of people on here.

  • I LOVE it except for the bottom. i dont like the lace/tulle peek out bottom. I think it would look much more elegant if it had continued with the same fabric all the way down. BUT if you like it, then thats all that matters.
  • Not my style.

  • No. The way it opens up so high on the dress and exposes layers and layers of lace kinda looks like it;s showing the underside of the dress. It is a gorgeous dress otherwise if it didn't have that open part.

  • Absolutely not.  The back of the dress is stunning, but the front part... the front part is a train wreck.... there are too many things going on in the front... the side drape leading to the peek a boo ruffles... For me it seems like three different dresses were sewn together...

  • It's not my style.  There are pretty dresses like the top of the front without the cutout, and pretty dresses with skirts like the cutout shoes.  They're very different dress styles and I don't think they go together.
  • I think it is a very pretty dress.  I personally like the layers of lace peeking out.  But I am a sucker for things that are bit more daring and non-traditional.

It doesn't matter what we think.  If you love the dress and feel beautiful in it, that is all that matters, not what a bunch of strangers on the internet think about it.

Personally, no. The lace is far too much, in my opinion.
  • I like it.. but you have to be able to pull it off
  • not my style. to  me it looks like to completely different dresses merged into one.
  • I don't hate it. I know my sister would like it because it's something different. But what matters is if YOU like it.

  • I love the lace showing. Personally, I would not wear it... but the dress is pretty much what you see in every DB, until you get to the lace part. I think it sets it apart from other gowns. (For the record, I don't usually like lace).

Pretty gown, but not for me. Like PP said, what matters is whether or not YOU love it.

(My sister told me she hated my dress... although, what she really meant was she would never wear it because it has one strap and she's a bit OCD and does not like things that "aren't symmetrical". But of course, I can't let her live it down Smile)
  • Nope. But if I could pull it off and if it was my style, I would.

  • I'm not crazy about the pick-up lacy thing in the front.
No, that's not my real name. And FH's name isn't Nun (as in Nun ya bidness) either.
  • It's not something I would wear, but I really like it.  The back is lovely, and I actually kind of like the lace layers showing on the front.
  • I don't think that I could wear that dress, but it makes a big statement! If that is how you like your clothes to be or how you want your wedding to be, maybe that would be a good dress!

  • Alright thanks for all your opinions! I strictly wanted your opinions.  Personally.. I was one of those few that could pull this style off (That's what the owner told me) And It's just vintage looking which is what I'm about.. Anyways I ordered this dress in my size in early January right when I got engaged and it never came in... But the shop is strict on saying it will be here this week. (A week before my wedding) *If you're interested, More details can be found on Central FL Boards.*

So anyways...  I already have a backup, because well.. I didn't want to be freaking out about not having a dress..  but I wanted to see what people thought of it to see if I should go ahead and pay the balance and try to sell it? Or just don't pay the balance and let my 60% deposit go.  It's a beautiful dress.. but I can see how a lot of people may not bite because of it's style.

    Thanks again!

  • It would look awful on me -- I don't have the right going on up top for that sort of neckline.  But I think it's a beautiful dress.
  • I love everything except the mutiple layers of lace. If there was one layer I would LOVE it. :)
  • I would never buy, Its to busy for me. I like somthing a little more plain but elegant. Do you have a picture of you tring it on?

I think you should talk them into getting all of your money back!  Why not?  It hasn't come in, right?
