Floating with beer on the lake sounds perfect!

I wanna go see Brave. Would I be a total loser if i went to it by myself?

I lay flat on the floor on my back.  It hurts like a mother fuuucker at first, but eventually the pain stops and it feels a lot better when I stand up.  I don't know if that helps anyone else, but yeah.

  • Stretching your hammies and also outer glutes sometimes helps. I've also done the laying flat on my back. Not fun, but helps!

  • Hi all. I am Debbie Downer with the migraine from hell. I'll be sulking in my corner.

Hubby is home, though. He's already in bed asleep and was too tired for any fun before he went to sleep. Whatever!

  • NSAIDs don't usually work for sciatica since it's more of a nerve pain, IIRC. I've been blessed to have never had it, though.

This was me last night..and most of the day today. <div>I swear my migraine medicine is just a sugar pill. The last few times I've taken it it has no effect. </div>

  • Hello, hello.

I've been fired from my wedding planning job with the Hooters girl. A little annoyed at first, but hey, when her wedding goes horribly she'll have no one to blame but herself now.

I've had zero appetite lately, but now I'm really craving pasta. Hopefully H can get off work early enough tonight that we can go out to eat.
  • All pain is nerve pain.

NSAIDs work for sharp pain that comes from inflammation, which is the root of the sciatica pain.  Neuropathic pain doesn't respond to NSAIDs, but sciatica is not neuropathic pain.

  • Crash, I have never heard of someone doing a Sprite float before -- learn something new every day!  How have you not tried a DP float?!  Root beer, Coke, and DP floats are all passable by me.  Never had an Orange Crush float but it sort of sounds amazing.

Migraines... yuck.  I hope both of you feel better soon!

  • I blame my fall in Peru.  It's been much more frequent since then, but less intensity than I used to get.  It's kinda strange.  Within the past 2 months it has become much more frequent.  stupid.

<div>I think it started because my Grandma would make some kind of float...it may have been DP. But I was little and my parents didn't let me have caffiene, so she put sprite in mine so I could have a float too.</div>

  • Hey guys, just got home. We got done super early so aside from the final exam, that class is DONE! woohoo!

Also? A big town that I drive through had hot air balloons flying on the way home. WTF why did I not know about this! I need to go on one this summer. It's always been a life goal ofmine.

  • Sorry, that came out bitchier than intended.

<div>So cool! We followed one once until it landed and watched them pack it all up. People were awesome and told us all about their balloon and adventures. It'd be so cool to go up in one!</div>

  • Willy, she claims she has everything taken care of and doesn't need anyone's help. I personally think that she realized just how much work she still had to do, and was overwhelmed or something. She emailed myself, her FIL's and my MIL with why she doesn't need our help, how she has it all under control, we don't need to micromanage, she has other people to help, she's got it all planned. Meanwhile, she has literally nothing but the venue secured and 44 days to go. The way she said all this was incredibly condescending, and I'm just annoyed by her attitude.
  • Hey there! We just got back from the gym and got in a fight so H said I'm on my own for dinner. Whatever. I really want to take a nap but I'm getting hungry. Our Internet is out so I'm on my phone. Holly, I don't think I could try that vanilla ice cream/orange juice thing but my favorite thing to get at the Disneyland ice cream shop is an orange fanta float. It's not technically on the menu so I sometimes get a weird look when ordering but I can always feel people in line staring and practically drooling over it when I'm walking away. Oh man, my mouth is watering now!

  • Any float besides a root beer float sounds disgusting to me. The only sodas I drink are Sprite or root beer. But the best root beer ever comes from a little dive place in my hometown that makes it all in house. It's incredible.

  • I agree Wally, I think it would be amazing. It goes right over a river too so its a gorgeous view.

Maybe stupid question Mica, but is a pinched nerve neuropathic in origin? Because NSAIDs have done nothing for it. I'm still waiting for my MRI results so its still the assumption that a pinched nerve is what it is.

<div>Yikes! THAT has 'trainwreck' written all over it. And she was condescending to boot? Blah, that makes me want to punch her in the face. </div>

  • Oops, looks like someone beat me to the orange float thing while I was typing. Dumb phone takes forever!

  • Musu, there used to be a hot air balloon festival in my area every year around my birthday, so when I was little my grandpa would take me outside to see them float by and tell me my birthday balloons had arrived :) I've never been in one, though. It looks so fun.
  • Pinched nerves are not neuropathic in origin.  The origin of their pain is whatever is the source of the pinching (usually bone -- either collapse or arthritis -- or a disc problem causing physical irritation and inflammation of the nerve).
  • Musu, hot air ballooning is fun! I went with xH, and I want to go again so bad.
