I know Jeana is a gamer, and I know there must be more out there!
TK Gamers of the NEY board, unite!
I'm a PC gamer. Counter Strike 1.6, Team Fortress 2, L4D.
I also play Sims 3 and GTAIV.
Ever since college, I don't play as much as I used to. But I'm wondering if there's anymore out there on this board

My brother use to play Starcraft, I use to try to play. Good memories
deburning...you have no clue how excited I am. I didn't know there was going to be a Sim Medieval! That's my top three favorite periods of history. "Build a Kingdom" eep!
Launches March 22!
I don't play CoD, but I wish I did. Especially because of zombies.I play it for free at my friend's dorm, but it's not the same!
And of course LittleBigPlanet counts, it's a game isn't it?! A cute one at that.
[QUOTE]My H is a big PC gamer. I've heard a fair bit about WoW, Warhammer, Starcraft, Star Trek, Aion, DC Universe, and now Rift, so I feel almost like a vicarious gamer. :P

Oooooh, I wanna try Rift so much, but I have a Mac... They don't yet (and may not ever) have a Mac version.
And Jeanna, I see you finally gave into temptation with WoW :P
I've never played DC Universe, but I've dabbled in Champions Online. Mostly because of BF though, I'm not a big superhero gal.
Caitlin, you could always try to bootcamp it if you want. I don't have a Mac so I don't know how it works, but I know a few people with Macs that bootcamp.
zipis, Need for Speed by any chance? It was Need for Speed games that made me overly confident in my driving skills when I was learning how to drive..
And yep. Need for Speed, Hot Pursuit is my favorite racing franchise. I am, however, disappointed in the lack of split screen for the newest one. It's the most fun playing it with other people in the same room, IMO.
WoW definitely wins for graphics, but GW is free to play (after you buy it first, of course)
However, I will say that the raids are fun and challenging, or so they seem to me. I've heard they're comparable if not better than more classic raids.
(The above post can basically be summed up with, "Nerd nerd nerd nerd nerd, nerdy nerdy nerd nerd!")
Also, Jeana I really like Fable 3. But I feel like they took out a lot of good things from Fable 2
And I'm really excited for Sims Medieval. Sims 3 is good (I particularly like Adventures) but Medieval looks fantastic so far.
My favorite is the Professor Layton series.
I"m addicted to Spider Solitaire. Does that count?

Ps-Anyone go to PAX East? I was there last weekend and my feet were killing me by the end, but I got so much free swag!! Big
PPS-CoD Black Ops Zombie mode is SO much fun. I even like the mini zombie game on the intro screen.
Married to my best friend, making our way together through this crazy, mixed-up thing we call life.
PS Yea for L4D! Except, I play strictly PC
[QUOTE]I've tried Rift. I was kinda meh on it. Essentially it's WoW with less cartoony graphics, and seeing as I like my cartoony blood elf I may as well just play WoW :P Plus, their "hunter" does this weird pelvic thrust thingy when he calls his pet that made me go o_O And yep. Need for Speed, Hot Pursuit is my favorite racing franchise. I am, however, disappointed in the lack of split screen for the newest one. It's the most fun playing it with other people in the same room, IMO.

lol at the hunter thing. Bestiality, anyone? />.<
I'm one of those super super dorky people who has to be super well geared, so that'll probably take lots of time. Also, I'm a Wrathbaby too, so I haven't been around long enough to get bored either.
And LBP is really cute.

MY hubby had a friend give us several closed beta codes for Rift and I tried it hesitantly but was pleasantly suprised. While it could be called a "wow" clone - anyone who has played MMO's from the past knows every one tries to grab elements from previous ones to attract players or simplify things. I don't mind it because it made the transition quite easy and the elements are casual which is a perfect fit for our gaming lifestyle now. Like anything its to each their own - I just missed gaming when I retired from wow and am really enjoying Rift with my husband and real life friends.
Aside from PC gaming , we play everything. Currently on the wait/reserve list is : Mortal Kombat , Duke Nukem and some other one I can't recall at the time. Our favorites are RPG's and MMO's obviously - but we have played everything and owned every gaming system since the Atari 2600.
