I just saw something on the news about the wedding industry being a billion dollar business in this country...it got me thinking as to what sort of people contribute to an industry that makes billions?
I consider myself a pretty average Jane...I am a pediatiric psych nurse for a residential program.
What do you ladies do?

I'm the Art Director for a small Boston college - not sure for how much longer. I also have 2 side businesses - a custom graphic design business and a friend and I are soon opening an event planning business, mostly for industry events. She's been on me for a long time to do it, and with her connections, my design skills and our combined experience - I thought, why not? It's my dream to own my own business someday and work solely for myself.

I work in the corporate communications dept of a large company. We've had about 6 co-workers get married in the last couple of years. Most bring in their wedding videos to watch in our large screening room. And we're a tough audience!!
