Nighty Night

Re: Nighty Night

• People's bumper stickers totally influence the way I drive around them. I'm an asshole.
image
• Hiya,
I'm trying to pick something to make for dinner.

I need to get better at meal planning.
image
• So if it was pro-life, would you not care? I mean, theoretically if it says "pro life" on it, then its pro something, anyway.

I just hate any and all bumper stickers so it doesn't matter if its from any political, religious or life ideology.
image
• I'm nervous about it too. I think we'll use a property management company to help weed out the assholes.
image
• I don't think we have any Trader Joe's. I also never heard of that until TK.

Mrs. B - Had you taken any before? I think I had 5 years to do all mine.

When my FI rented his condo he used a realtor, who was able to run a pretty extensive background/credit check. Plus, the renter paid the realtor fee. It might be something to look into.
In Response to Re: Nighty Night : IMO yours is different because it's pro- something, not anti- something... Bumper stickers that are, say pro-life don't bug me.  Ones that are anti-abortion do.  I don't know if that makes any sense at all.
Posted by MyUserName1
That makes sense, but I don't personally feel that way. For example, here in VA, one of the types of license plates you can get says "Choose Life". Those annoy me.
• Hola all.  I feel like death.  Watching my favorite episode of SVU and knitting.

I don't mind decals on cars (the ones you can remove), but I hate bumper stickers.

• Muni, if I get frustrated when I'm driving and I saw a bumper sticker like that, I'd say something like "Effing artsy hippie" ... haha but I say the same if its something completely opposite of that too. Because I like the arts. I just get really irrationally angry when things are on cars that aren't there when they were produced. I can't explain it.

• Edie - that sticker is funny!

Petals - I have my 60 hours from 17 years ago still banked so I didn't have to start with the intro course.  Yep, I've got 5 years starting now.  I wanted to not get too bogged down during the year which is why I decided summer and I thought I would enjoy online more than giving up an entire 40 hour week in the summer but now that I've seen the course load and talked to a few people, it sounds like the full week in the summer/nightly classes for the quarter are actually more discussion and less work-work  if that makes sense.  So, next summer I might just suck it up and go to a live class.

Yeah I think our current realtor is willing to do background checks and help put a lease together for us.

I try to do this. I don't really get bored and neither does FI but I'm trying new things. I'm just aggravated at myself that I spent hours typing up names of recipes I have used, listing ingredients, etc. and I haven't printed it or made my menu board yet. It's one of my summer goals.

• Edie -- the one where a serial killer escapes to Canada, thinking they won't extradite him for murder (since at the time, NY had capital punishment), and then they extradite him on kidnapping.  Pretty much the best.

Also, WTF that thread?

• Hey, just got in from eating sushi.. it was amazing, but I'm super full. Hopefully that'll hold me over for awhile.

The pro-life movement irrationally irritates me. I'm sure that's an UO and flame-able, but there it is.

I'm heading over to FI's in a few to watch the premieres of Burn Notice and Suits.
